I love this guy's reviews! Plain and simple. Just want to know is the plastic quality really crappy inside? Any road noise from the inside while driving??
I've got 2016 prestige 180 love it great on juice lovely to drive wish had ski hatch or folding seats though that and self folding mirrors should be standard
We've owned a Jaguar XE SE for 10 months now and it's such a disappointing car. The seating position is ridiculous, even on its highest setting it is way too low. You find yourself trying to sit up to see over the bonnet. The steering has no feedback at all and I concur with the reviewer - the manual gearbox is really hard work in traffic. The space in the back is below par compared to the 3 Series. Oh, and the start button completely failed one evening while away on a work trip - took 4 days to fix. But by far and away the worst thing is the 2.0 diesel engine. It's loud, it rattles and fills the car with vibrations. This sounds like such a rant but Jaguar really needs to improve for their next generation XE.
I will give the XE this and only this. It is a comfortable vehicle. That is it. If it is trying to compete with BMW 3-series, unfortunately for Jaguar the XE falls short. Offerings of only a maximum of a 2.0 diesel engine, 2.0 petrol or the top of the range the gas guzzling 3.0 V6 petrol is a sin as far as I am concerned. Why the lack of the desperately needed 3.0 diesel engine to compete with the BMW 3 and 4 series which are I am sorry, but not surprised to say, BMW are still well ahead of Jaguar?. Why have you left out the engine that would of had those avid 3 and 4 series 330d and 335d / 430d and 435d potentially considering a Jaguar over a BMW?. The 2.0 diesel engine 180bhp version is loud and gruff in the Jaguar XE. The sat nav is straight out of a Ford as well. Touchscreen when you are use to i-drive is going in a backward direction as far as I am concerned for Jaguar. Also, I do not take kindly to having to navigate via that horrible touchscreen system to turn the bloody seat heating on. Who designed this?, your an arse hole and put me off straight away from buying an XE. Only a Brit would do such things, half cut finished job on what could have been THE 3-Series beater, but it fell short because of shite engine range and poor quality fittings in the vehicle. Not just the sat nav, but the lack of high end diesel engines are a massive put off for any BMW driver who likes a drivers car with a mans engine, not some tin pot gruffy loud diesel that is only just a little higher in MPG over the mighty and barnstorming BMW 335d X-drive M-Sport. The angles along the doors especially in the front are really odd and you feel very low in the vehicle because of the way the doors are designed. Not being able to put your arm up on the side easily is another bad design fault, again, this XE they keep raving on about is not as good as they, umm, rave on about. But the ultimate sin in my eyes, was not putting a 3.0 diesel lump in what is quite a handsome looking car, aka the XE. Why?. Did you think that us 335/330/435d, etc, etc drivers would simply hand up our 3.0 diesel engines with 54MPG and 0-62mph in 4.5 seconds in exchange for a Jaguar XE 2.0 180bhp diesel, ha ha?. Na, I do not think so. The real drivers, so people like you and me who are looking at this Jaguar review still think BMW are the rule of the roost, regardless of whether Jaguar bring out a car they think can match the likes of BMW. I will never buy a Jaguar or Landrover / Range Rover. They are for the older generation, they also do not drive anything remotely near that of a BMW or German branded vehicle in general, the sat navs are from Ford, odd angles on the XE and now the new XF have the XF in specific looking like a flumpy American car. As for Land Rover and Range Rovers. Again, the same issues with the sat nav and overrated build quality that is not up to par with German brands. I know, I have driven Range Rover Sports, Jaguar XE and I just find them quite overrated and exceedingly expensive for what you actually get. I think to date, Land Rover, but more specifically Range Rovers have to be among some of the most overrated and overpriced vehicles in the World. Why do people drive them, because they think they are buying into something very special. But I question that, I really question just how special a Range Rover or Jaguar actually is?, hmmm. Look underneath and through all the bullshit and you will see what I mean Nice try Jaguar. But only a 6/10 for your try and beating the 3-Series. 3-Series BMW, especially in 335d M-Sport X-drive guise is a superior motor vehicle to any XE you bring out, even that 3.0 V6 frumpy engine you have in the XE, it still remains wayward and British in every respect.
+sambozauk Sorry u don't like it, but basically every review disagrees with you and frankly your comment sounds like a rant. If the bmw is 9/10, the jag is 8/10 it is that close. Most people don't buy the 335d M-Sport X-drive as that is a massive premium. In fact you hardly see them on the road.
***** You care because you are replying to honest comments from someone who has driven both 335d, that I own and a horrid Jaguar XE, that I will never own. You will never own either. So go back to your Ford Mondeo mate and speak to the hand. Dumb arse.
Finally someone who knows how to do reviews. Hope to see more...
+bagieta21 Thanks! We upload two reviews every week so you'll definitely see more!
I bought one a month ago I love driving it

Any xj reviews
When they will launch Sportbrake version.
This didn't age well
Manual in this just unnecessary, but it's how they can make the base model look cheap...design is great in and outside, huge improvement.
He looks like the dude from little Britain
No he doesn't..
'Yeah a know'
Is this car "Italian Racing Red" or the "Odyssey Red" anyone?
AKA Ford Taurus (rebadged)

Ricky no feedback at all means you can’t steer right or left, good luck with that
Clicked on this video really hoping it wasn't going to be this guy reviewing it. Disappointed.
He's one of the best on UA-cam
Jaguar going bankrupth, i dont think so
74 mpg , good luck with that pal , you will be lucky to go 50 mpg ,😂😂👍
Nah. The 3 is better to drive.
Nice car. Not the best reviewer though.

So why buy one?
