      Please, i beg you carwow, fix the loudness of the Mat Watson voice. From long time ago until now, Mat's voice always too soft. On the other video from the other car reviewer, the voice of their presenter always sounded clear & loud even though they whispered. Not in here, i need to max my speaker volume when Mat spoke softly. No offense, i like carwow contents & i'm your loyal subscriber.

      @@the80386 apart from the fact that "accent" means the style with which you speak a language and that does mean there is a "British accent", even if there was one single "standard" for speaking a language the standard would certainly have to be classified as the style the majority of speakers use which would make American English the "standard English" and "British English" an "accent".
      But as I said, accent doesn't mean a deviation from a standard, it's just another term to describe the style of speech.

    Mat Watson is truly one of the best car viewers in the world that I know of. His objectivity, fairness, impartiality and neutrality is really on display and shines through during his review of Jaguar XE.
    He could have easily shown his bias and pride in placing his home country brand's model in the top spot in its class, all while "forgetting" about its negatives, flaws and drawbacks. This is something that happens regularly on too many car review sites in my country of the United States. GM, Ford, Dodge, and other U.S. auto makers have no such negative, according to the "top experts."
    To them, it is always about more horsepower and about which model accelerates faster from 0-60 mp/h. Useless and pointless reviews, not worth watching let alone subscribing to.
    I truly respect your work, Mat. Keep it up.

    Such a beautiful looking car! The door bin thing was silly - he didn't even attempt to put that bottle in properly. As far as I'm aware every car has an air vent next to the steering wheel - it keeps your hands cool in warm weather and when it's cold turn the heat up and it'll keep them warm - plus I'm sure you can switch it off if you don't want air!

    Nothing wrong with the boot space. Fit two large suite cases. If you want more purchase the XF. Rear seating is fine. Simply slide front seat forward. Plenty of front foot space. Simply Close air vent by the steering wheel. Arm rests are fine. Never had a problem. Never heard any tyre roar. Maybe fit better tyres. The older petrol version is a better engine.

Ever since, I am driving my BMW and now firmly believe that I had the right choice. C class, A4, XE and IS all are good but BM still holding the crown in compact saloon world.

  • @v88dicky32
    @v88dicky32 5 років тому +16

    I've watched countless XE reviews in the run up to buying one, and most mention the lack of room in the back. The only way to be sure was to actually sit in one. I honestly don't know what the problem is? I'm 6'2" and fit in the rear no problem, even with the driver's seat in my position. But let's face it, the only time I'm likely to sit in the rear is when the wife is driving, and she's tiny 😁
    I didn't find the boot massively smaller than our 2011 XF that it replaced either, so for us, it's all good.
    In the end we decided to go with one of the last supercharged V6s available, and I'm glad we did ☺️👍🏻

Interior holding up well, particularly the seats. Been through a set of tyres understandably. Replaced the reverse camera loom and a ride height sensor, both negligible costs really. You give the best reviews about a car after driving it for 4-5 years.
    Let me tell you how the 2016 Jaguar XE looks after 5 years.
    The car was driven gently and carefully because it was the "joy" of the family, it had regular checks and service. The car had no damage or incident. He didn't accidentally cross a ramp faster ...
    After 5 years the engine sounds worse than my grandfather's "old man - Opel", yesterday I discovered a very dangerous crack on both the left and right front of the axle stub (very dangerous to drive)
    The crack looks like metal fatigue - the famous aluminum that Jaguar boasts of building the whole car.
    The rest are small details: a window rattles, an ornament comes off ... I think a Dacia Sandero was much better ....
    With such a car, does Jaguar want to compete with BMW, Mercedes or Audi? From what I understand, this was the intention when they designed the model. Hmmmm, good luck I have to sell mine urgently

    The only one fault with your reviews - and I know you must get tired of hearing this - is the split video idea. Just make the video 2 minutes longer and fit everything in nicely, we watch your videos for entertainment anyway. @freshklinki93 8 років тому +2

      +notformebeaky So then, BMW and MB also wouldn't because their customers have an average age of over 50.
      Poor quality? Nice joke, MB builds the most reliable cars from Germany. They were poorly made in 1997-2005 because of the DaimlerChrysler-Fusion. The depreciation from an expensive car is higher than from a cheap car, everytime. You also can buy cheap 3 year old 5 series... anyway, that has nothing to do with quality, also Cadillac can build Good cars, still they have the highest depreciation of all time.

      +notformebeaky The average BMW-driver is 53 years old in Germany. You can read that on statista.com, or on Auto Motor und Sport.

      @Nk More like an Audi (the older A5, to be exact). Oh wait, a majority of European and South Korean sedans look like Audis today.

      Ok so the funny part is the rear was one of the reasons I bought it (second hand mint condition)
      It looks like the F Type and it looks way better than the XJ IMO.
      Maybe my taste was bad if so many people complain about it.

      Rear space rear styling refinement and build quality are all absolutely appaling. I had one for two years. Totally unnaceptable. Even the loaded portfolio with a nice meridian, heated wheel, quickclear screen, reverse cam and nicer seats didnt detract from the shoddyness of the build, tinny like a 90s car in many places. The Ingenium diesel engine is shockingly sluggish on take off and stupidly loud ran it on v power and serviced on time. Handles like a dream but too compromised elsewhere. Shame as it has more character than the b9 A4 I traded up to. Even on 19s its almost silent and rock solid inside just sterile to drive and look at.

      @@bensmithkent22 jaguar Land rovers build quality has been bad for some decades now. Best to stay away to be honest, unless you can afford to give away your hard earned cash to the mechanics.

    Hi Matt, I love the practicality of all your videos, but I'm wondering whether there isn't a way for you to do better side-by-side comparisons with direct competitors from a more scientific perspective ... ambient noise levels in cabin, real-world acceleration, real-world fuel consumption (not just 'I've been getting this...' but rather 'this compares to x in car Y over the same route'), etc? It's like your 'Big Bottle Test', but for the whole car.

    • @carwow
      @carwow  8 років тому

      +Leon Schnell see the group test video for this car. The link is in the description and the click through is at the end. It's side by side with rivals

    • @LeonSchnell
      @LeonSchnell 8 років тому

      +carwow Thanks, just checked it out! That was much better, but I'd appreciate if you could consider adding an on-screen scorecard, because it was hard to keep track of which car was the best for which thing, just because the list was so long. Other than that, great stuff :)

    • @carwow
      @carwow  8 років тому

    • @LeonSchnell
      @LeonSchnell 8 років тому

      +carwow Well yes, now that you're mentioning it, it'd be nice if all your links to other videos didn't go to your website ;) I'm not a fan of enjoying my UA-camz, then getting directed to a website and trying to find my way back to UA-cam to watch the video on that page. Disrupting my car enjoymentz!

    • @carwow
      @carwow  8 років тому

      +Leon Schnell just ignore the links if you don't want the extra info. The main video has all you really need if you are just watching for fun rather than thinking about buying the car. It's not meant as click bait. If it was the video would be called 'hot girl bikini fail compilation' or 'top ten cutest kittens'.
