UPDATE: [24-6-2024] Duux has released the Duux Whisper 2. I will now make a new review. This video therefore is a little outdated, because this is the first model.
UPDATE: [26-6-2023] It seems like my luck has run out. Exactly one year after my purchase, the fan does not work anymore. The base still reacts, but the fans don’t turn on anymore. Well… this could be just my fan. But it’s funny nonetheless. (Exactly 1 year) This comes just DAYS after my last update where I noticed the sound has come back... All in all, if the Duux Whisper works, it's great. But this is my second one, and sadly it will be written off with the same issue.
Thanks a lot for the update! The problems with the last generation (which I learned about because of your video) have motivated to buy a cheaper fan, and then in the future maybe buy this one, once you have used it for longer. Thanks a lot for making this video / thanks, erg bedankt!

@@Unfilterd great to hear! Yesterday I got my Whisper Ultimate in the mail. Enjoying it quite a bit these days. Changing oscillation settings via the app doesn't work correctly though. I sent some feedback to Duux related to that issue in hopes they will resolve it.
Do you have similar problems with the app?
I think I can safely say, the sound is pretty much gone now. (With new models) But the season for using these is pretty much over, so my updates will continue in the beginning of 2023!

I was wondering if I buy this product or not; it is rather pricy, not? Thank you for sharing your experience. A remote control that does not always work and always with an annoying beep, I am not so attracted by that, but you got the message that the signal is picked up. In the adv they speek of a silent fan, only 13dB, but will it stay so? I am curious of your update on that. Thanks.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these Duux models. In the end I decided to buy the LeaderPro because I don't need any of the smart home automation. So far it's working out and I'm impressed by its quietness and performance.

I also had an old model Duux Whisper fan. I sent it back to the webstore because of an irritating clicking noise. Has the new model the same trouble?
Honest reviews, you don't see them much these days so thanks! It seems a lot of the stuff that is supposed to make Duux special, is flawed in some way. I decided to stick with my ouwe krakende ventilator for now.

First off good review. I got my whisper fan today. Is it just me or is the diameter of the grill very small? In your review it looks bigger. Also I find the fan kind of short even when fully extended. Other than that it looks stylish, has good functions and very quiet.

One tap on the button at the base, if the numbers blink that means you can spin it to adjust the speed. If anything else beside the numbers blink, you can spin it to select a mode. Right side you can see arrow sideways, which is horizontal swing, but also the vertical swing icon. Just spin it until it lands on one of those, then tap again to turn on or off. Alternatively, just use the remote with the same icons.
I just use a masterforce industrial fan when I'm trying to sleep. The sound is soothing to me. It's like being shot with a tranquilizer dart for me.

Great job hitting and slapping the fan so we as viewers know how flimsy and plastic it is regarding the build quality.
Any chance you could compare this to an Xiaomi Standing Fan 2 or 3? Thanks for the video, hast stopped me from buying one of these.. cant stand the rattling noice since the quietness is their main selling point... and the ultimate is too expensive with all those "not working Features". Cheers!

I have the Leader Pro. Really! good in the 130$ price range. (Only downside: no battery holder)
Looking for a second (maybe even better) fan for my bedroom, so I don’t need to move it every day.
Please, could you tell me if it is possible keep it vertical pointing the air towards the ceiling without oscillating movement? I talk about the regular model.
Yes possible
If you go to a local DIY store you can probably pick up some All Purpose matte paint in whatever colour you want, and actually just paint the plastic. It looks like the actual front grill (?) part of the whisper is already matte, so you'd only need to paint the stand and the housing on the back (being careful not to let the paint drip into the fan part or the electronics). Could be a cheaper option if you hate the cheap glossy look - I know I certainly hate it and would probs paint it in the end!
Thank you for watching, although I would have to disagree completely. Painting this thing would be a heck of a job. And it would be much easier if they just paint it matt from factory, but they don’t do this for obvious reasons (and that’s their right of course!)
Thank you for the review. I am looking for a fan which I can use throughout the night and I am considering this fan, though it's really a lot of money for a fan.
Too bad there isn't a cheap silent fan, because all it takes is a propeller with a lot of blades that runs at a slow speed.

You need the Meaco fan. The smaller one is only £69 and is super quiet, has a timer mode. It's perfect for a bedroom, I have owned one for nearly 2 years, it's great

Haha! That’s a water fountain for the cats.
I had this. The wheel barring started scraping after a year of use, and it was impossible to change it. Also, it’s annoying when hairs get stuck in the cabinet surrounding the blades. Since the fanblades are so close to the cage, they make sound very easily. I was impressed in the start but that wore off when cracks started to show with this design.

I have one of the older models I think and it's also rattline. tried to fixi it whit wd40 but now it's even making MORE noise which I don't get. Did you manage to fix it?
Didn’t try to fix, just got rid of it and bought new one.
Was it the oscillation making the noise on the whisper?

To make the charging process easier, but sadly it does not with this dock

I just bought this fan, then found your review. I’m trying to assemble the fan. The problem is, I can’t open up the grill. I can see Lock and Open, but I don’t know what I’m meant to do, and I don’t want to break it!
When assembling the fan or when unpacking? When unpacking you have to turn the knob until the rest comes loose (the middle one). When assembling, you have to look for the “lock” text on the front panel and the piece that locks in on the fan itself, then you can turn them into eachother

You can use it without remote control, but it’s not as snappy as with the remote. But for fast on or off it’s fine. And thanks for watching

Ik bezit beide modellen en vind deze review een tikkeltje overdreven kritisch. Ik zal uitleggen waarom:
1. Het belangrijkste aan een ventilator is dat hij stil is en voldoende luchtverplaatst. Ik heb er vele gehad maar nooit zo stil en sterk als die van Duux. Dit wordt amper belicht in de review.
2. De bouwkwaliteit van de Whisper is inderdaad minder dan die van de Whisper Flex Ultimate, echter is hij daardoor ook een stuk lichter en makkelijker te verplaatsten. Het is geen "gebruiksproduct" zoals een laptop of telefoon dus ik vind de bouwkwaliteit daarom iets minder relevant.
3. Ik gebruik de Whisper Flex Ultimate snachts met batterij en op stand 5 met horizontale oscillatie gaat hij makkelijk de hele nacht mee. Niemand zet deze ventilator snahcts op stand 15 met horizontale en verticale oscillatie ingeschakeld. Dus om te zeggen dat de batterij "nutteloos" is vind ik een beetje overdreven.
4. Ik heb geen problemen met de batterij die uit de base valt. Bij mij klemt hij prima en krijg ik hem er amper uit zonder aan de lift tabs te trekken. Hoe weet je zeker dat je het 2022 model hebt?
Verder een erg leuke review en mooi gemonteerd!

Het punt over de stand 5 in de nacht is relevant, ik gebruik ‘m snachts op stand 8 maar zou mij kunnen voorstellen dat het daar iets van gemak kan bieden. En qua bouwkwaliteit; tja er moet ergens op bespaard worden. Het is alleen best wel een high end product, en dan mag je (vind ik) beter verwachten.

Welp gone through 2 fans so far that were faulty so now onto 3rd ultimate hoping once that gets delivered that it won't be faulty straight off the bat

Hallo! Ik had niet verwacht dat mn vent op yt zou staan haha. Ik ben autist, kan slecht tegen hitte en tegen geluid. Ik ben heeeel blij met deze aankoop en heb 2 vrienden zo ver gekregen er ook 1 te kopen haha. Ik heb de witte zonder app.
Maar! Mss kan iemand mij helpen. Soms wil ik dat hij een klein stukje naar links gaat of omhoog.. maar dan gaat ie naar rechts of naar beneden en kan ik tering lang wachten tot ie op t punt is waar ik em wil… maar soms gaat ie wel naar rechts? Yo ik snap echt niet wat bepaalt welke kant ie eerst op gaat :(
Als je op de afstandsbediening horizontale of verticale oscillatie uitzet en dan aanzet gaat die inderdaad de andere kant op, dit kan je doen tot die op de juiste plek staat om vervolgens de oscillatie weer uit te zetten. Hope that helps!
Holy shit, when you talked about build quality I realized how cheap it is. The plastic looks like the really cheap plastic you get on the most budget fans and it shouldn't be rattling like that

Bought in 2019.
Worked great and gave it away…
Now I have the Duux Whisper flex smart in the gray color.
I absolutely love it !
The app works great and it makes less noise then the previous model.
The fan is 2 days in my possession, so my “how to assemble it” is still fresh in my mind.
One thing I noticed in your video is that you have the back cover fan plate on the wrong side around..
Noticed that the screw hole is on one side and the lock on the other side.
The screw should point to the bottom and the lock on the top.
This could explain most of the ratteling sound when shaken around.
It’s not assembled correctly.

I think the new version “smart version” is the better option of the 3 available models.

You can order the smart version without a battery but still can use it powered with a cord and later if you want still add a battery.
It saves on cost and is only a few dollars or euros more then the basic model you show in the video.
It has a better “still adjustable” pole wich is more sturdy then the basic model.
Anyways, nice video..
Hope my tip that I noticed in your video helps change peoples mind as it was not correctly assembled.
Mine is super quiet and the reviews online in webshops say the same…
Trust me i also had a Dyson fan without the blades and I shipped it back…
Made more noise then any Duux ever will.

Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching. Although I can confirm that the screw does not at all cause this sound, or whatever plate you’re referring to. It’s the moving that makes the sound (on the older model). On the new model I don’t have the rattling sound yet
@@Unfilterd The first basket you put over the motor housing is not assembled correctly cousing the front basket to sit incorrectly aswell.....
The blade will also not sit correct couse of the first error made wich is putting the basket wrong way around.
The first ''back'' basket has cutouts that correspond to cutouts on the motor housing... when you put it wrong around like in your video, it will not be a tight fit and can couse the problems you had with your old fan and now may become a problem for these 2 in this video aswell....
Couse the flashback in this video of your old white colored fan also show's incorrect assembly.
(i can tell by the words (lock and open) that show on the bottom of your old fan that should be sitting ontop.)
This only suggests that on your old fan, you also put the first basket wrong way around cousing the front basket to sit wrong aswell.
It will matter.....
So the grey colored Duux is not correctly assembled wich can couse problems overtime, and your old white model was not correct aswell, cousing the problem you had with the old.

Duux customer service is terrible. Ordered the flex smart fan and it arrived with a clicking. Returned it, ordered another fan and it had a Wi-Fi fault. So second one returned. Duux’s advice - try a 3rd order. They showed zero customer value.
Was thinking about buying a different Duux model off Amazon at £175 but this video has put me off …… Wow they seem like cheap plastic trash.
I recently got a floor fan 16” from Amazon, ZANUSSI …… it’ has some power but Wow it’s NOISY.
Ya can’t hear the TV unless you raise the volume a Lot.
I like the Noise it makes when sleeping, but when you are trying to watch tv it’s irritating …… I guess really we people probably need at least 2 different fans ….. maybe more.
I might keep my ZANUSSI floor fan and just buy a good table fan …. Not sure. 👍

Guys please dont waste your money on this product. Its actual garbage. The fan motor blew up after 5hours of usage on mine.
