It's worth the extra $40 if you wanted to use it as a camping fan or in a power outage. It lasts for a couple days, has a light which is handy in a tent, and can charge the phone in an emergency.
It won't last 2 days. That is a flat out lie. The battery is 44 watt hours (3.7V x 16000mah). It would have to be using under 1 watt (916mW) to achieve that life. A 1 watt fan is completely worthless. It would have to be 1/4 of the size (blade span) to be able to speed up the air with a consumption of less than 1 watt. These fans are far too small to be useful. You just cannot move enough air given the power available to them. A small standing floor fan will use about 25 watts on low, 45 watts on medium and 60 watts on high. Plus a floor fan would be much higher build quality.
Definitely I think that’s what it was intended for. For what this guy is using it for any fan would Suffice. These portable fans were meant for travelers.
@@tarstarkusz you are referring to constant draw. No phone would last a full day if you spent that full day recording 4k video while playing a game and listening to a livestream, but almost every phone lasts a full day with typical daily usage.
I look for features like battery bank and long run time for my hurricane kit. Always good to have another charging option for your phone, after days without power.
I can see cruisers finding the Venty pretty useful. People like to take fans on their cruise, but there are restrictions and I think the Venty would fit the requirements. Also, the added bonus of it having a charging feature and a nightlight are also both items cruisers find useful.
This was the first thought I had too. The issue with both of these fans is that the built in battery means you can't pack it in a checked bag on an airplane. The Venty folding down smaller would be much better for fitting in a back pack or some other carry on while doubling as a decent power bank for the flight as well.
Night light feature is actually pretty practical... can't tell you how many stubbed toes we've had over the years with "fan feet" walking into a dark room or getting up to go to the bathroom and summer fan is on all night. That was pretty smart if you ask me. We always use oscillation as it really can move more air on low. $80 bucks, no. We now prefer the 360 oscillating fans. Those are the bomb. If that feature was in this fan I'd definitely pay $80 for it. Thinking battery life, power outage is a thing to think about. Having a fan, even on low for 48 hours worth of cooling is far better than 10. Over all I think you get what you pay for considering inflation these days on the Venti.
I agree that they seem to be on the expensive side, however good rechargable batteries are expensive. If you have power outages or rolling blackouts the larger battery might be totally worth it. Even if you don't need it for the fan. In my experience you can't have enough battery banks. Definitely a good review of both of the fans.
People often have power tools and getting an inverter for those would be more versatile rather than paying more for a battery stuck in one machine. I've used my Ryobi batteries with their inverter for camping and during power outages multiple times. I already had the batteries and got the inverter during a promo basically for free.
@Jason N I have Milwaukee tools and batteries. I also have a converter that converts them to usb or 12 v at 2 anps and an inverter that makes 110 volts. But with all the stuff that runs on battery and that the kids are addicted to, I don't mind having extra power banks around. Plus if the powers out the ac is out and the longer run time might just come in handy. I have a generator and use it when the powers out for a long time but I only run it long enough to let the refrigerator and freezers catch up, and recharge the stuff that we use. Luckily the longest we have had to go was 7 days and we didn't need to run the heat or fans. But I can't hope for that all the time. I even have some solar to recharge battery devices when possible. If the batteries in the fan are actually the mah advertise then the fans probably not to badly priced.
The light function piqued my interest because I've gone though some power outages in bad thunderstorms where it's 90 something degrees outside/80 something inside and I need a fan, but also a light. I wish it was just a tad cheaper, but yeah I would definitely grab one of those just for the power outage reason alone. I would also use it in my bathroom on summer days because it gets ridiculously hot and humid in there. Like others said it would be fabulous for camping as well.
The Venty having a huge battery is awesome. Anybody that experiences heat related power outages should take a look. When the power went out several times last summer the Fan worked well and the power Bank was able to fully charge my Samsung phone 3 times.
These battery fans are a lifesaver. I used one that just had a clip on it when I was cashiering at a grocery store. It was hot and the fan kept me alive all shift. Then I've used it for outdoors with the kids and camping. Just great to have.
Thank you for your video. As others have said, I think the Venty fan would be good for camping/car camping. I don't know if it's worth an extra $40, but I think 'thinkx' nailed it - the light, and the charging station feature. If you are not traveling, Vornado fans are the best and quietest fans I've ever seen. I bought one once, despite the fact that they are EXPENSIVE, but it was the best fan I've ever seen/used. The shape and size of it made it next to impossible to conceive of traveling with it though... and I think these fans are for traveling, but very specific kinds of traveling. Hotels - you have unfettered access to the AC and lights, so not that kind of travel. Seems very niche, in actual purpose, but I can see how American consumers would convince themselves that they NEED one. In my opinion, if you need a fan for the home, you have three reasonable options. Option 1, get a $10 fan. Option 2, get a $30 quieter fan. Option 3, get a Vornado fan (it'll last for years, it won't annoy you like the $10 fan, and you'll be more comfortable, every single day, for years). All this other stuff, well, it has a place and purpose, but I don't see these products as 'home goods'. I see them as specific type of travel goods. Like a camping stove. You can use it in your home, but you can also use, uh, a stove that isn't a camping stove. You can get a fan that isn't optimized for 'battery life' and has 'a light', because you probably have power outlets and lights in your home. I mean, I hope...
Many hotels can be hit and miss when it comes to climate control. It could be broken, or doesn't get cold enough, or it has trouble pushing the warm air across the room. Or even, climate control doesn't exist - may not even have a fan. That's where this can come in handy.
I like my Venty fan. I use it as my night fan and a white noise source. Only thing I modified on the remote is to add a small raised dot (extra small googly eye had laying around) on the ON button so I can orientate the remote in the dark to adjust the fan speed.
I’ve had the fold away fan for like 3-4 years still works great after that long. I like that it runs plugged in and that I can fold it and put it away in the fall. Since I live in Canada I only use it at night when we have our yearly heat wave.
These seem to be good, IF you're going to use them for what they're good for. Basically, if you need something portable, good battery life, close range, oscillating, and could serve as a battery bank than the Venty seems like a pretty good buy. However, most people watching this video would probably just use it as a desk or sofa/chair fan, and for that you're probably better off with a regular wired fan with more power and cheaper besides, I think. It'd probably be good for summer camping though, since it can do all of those things and is relatively compact.

When we had no A/C a few years ago because it needed repairs my Mom and I bought one of the floor Vornados. Even on low from 4 rooms/half the 1st floor away on 100 degree humid nights with poor ventilation, we could feel it in the living room and it genuinely cooled the rooms down. It's that powerful and really does work if you mess with how you aim it. Only downfall was the noise at higher speeds but we rarely needed it above 1 or 2.
Please don't get me wrong, I am not saying Vernado fan is no good. You gotta compare similar products of the same class (compare like with like, e.g., a rechargeable foldable fan with another rechargeable fodable fan). It's not suitable to compare a sport car with a pickup truck.
Thank you for this review. I just found out a fan like this existed. I ordered the venty. We liked that oscillates, the convenience of the remote control, and able to use it as a night light
My husband and I love your channel. We know you have reviewed a lot of the Ninja gadgets and there is a new one out there that has caught our eye. Not sure if you're interested in it or not, but we would love to see you review the Ninja Woodfire Outdoor Grill and Smoker. As far as the Venty vs My Foldaway Fan, we are always taking fans on vacation with us and the Venty would be perfect to add a night light feature, too. Thanks for the review. We just might pick one up.
I've been wanting one of these fans for when I go to festivals, I used to buy the smaller ones that go around the neck but I think attaching this to a purse strap may be the move (since I usually find a shady spot to sit and I'm a faint risk), and it can charge my phone! Great reviews, you're one of the most thorough reviewers on here and that's why I sub
Seems these are targeted for extreme portability and lack of power aka traveling or camping. So we probably can’t compare them em to regular ol’ fans you’d use at home
i like the venty fan because of the remote because im in a wheelchair so i can stay in my bed and have the fan at the other side of the room and still use it myself, with the other one i would need to shout someone every time i needed to use it, i agree on what you said about the prices, one thing you missed in your review because you weren't thinking about it for my type of use is a range test of the remote, both of them should also have a heat mode for the same price that they are
I went ahead and splurged on a My Foldaway Fan after seeing your review on that one, and it is my new best friend. The price is far more accessable for someone like me on a fixed income. I can move it easily from my bed when I sleep to my PS4 when I game, and when summer hits it is a lifesaver to take in the bathroom when I have to, say, spend more time in there. I utterly adore My Foldaway, and though I would love a remote, doubling the price is really not an option for me just for that feature. I don't think the Venti is going to change my mind and take over My Foldaway.
Hi James, I have a nock off of the My fold away fan which has served me well. The Venty I do think is too expensive but do like the idea of the case, longer battery life and the USB C cable. I will have to check the price here in the UK and weather it's available or not in the first place.
I visited the North Rim of the Grand Canyon with my niece last summer. She can’t sleep without a fan, and tiny fans aren’t big enough. Something foldaway would have been fantastic.
The light feature while on the floor would be useful during the night if someone gets up and needs a little light to move around so they don't trip on something or a pet.
The Venty would be quiet handy camping, especially in the midst of the summer heat. Last year was horrible every time we went camping, during the day was crazy hot and night time was almost as bad with trying to lay down and get comfortable while sweating thee ol booty off. Plus the light for the tent and being able to charge phones and it's just a bit more compact for light camping.
I'm probably gonna get the Venty fan solely for the fact it has a longer battery life. My bf and I need a smaller fan because our current fan just takes up too much room as it stands on the floor, and it's never higher than 1 or 2 max out of 5 power settings, so it's unnecessary. We also lack good places to plug it into (both of our computer desks are in the bedroom plus a printer and shredder, phone chargers, and a dehumidifier...phew, apartment living lol). I personally don't sleep with the fan on but my bf needs to because he's a hot sleeper. With the Venty, we could have it going on battery life all night, then close it up and charge it at whichever outlet in the daytime. The added bonus of a nightlight is just another plus, saves outlet space and we'd actually have it off during the day lol.
I work in a food truck and these look like a good options to use when it gets really hot in there! It will fit nicely on the shelf and I can also charge my phone while im in the truck!
The Venty seems to be OK at a lot of things to justify that cost. Kinda like consolidating multiple things. I guess I'd rather get a single thing that does something well. BUT I did read comments and for backpacking etc it makes sense. Limited charge etc. To be fair, all my time backpacking I've never thought that I needed a fan lol. Maybe because I knew it wasn't an option.
I had "My fold away fan" and I returned it. The plug to charge it was cheap and broke fast I could not charge it, I was also disapointed by the battery life.
6:45 maybe it's just me but without looking at the advertising campaigns or kickstarters or anything, it very much seems like having a super portable fan would be great for camping, so having the built-in light and a battery bank is... wildly neat. Plus being so much thinner than the other. definitely crucial when it comes to duffel/backpack space. I wouldn't spend 80 bucks on it unless I didn't already have a hefty battery pack and camping lanterns - I'd only need the fan part of it, but for someone who needs an all-in-one, if the quality is actually good long-term, that's neat.
I bought a Venty as I have a place with no electricity. It is great! Having a night light instead of a lantern or flashlight and getting a breeze on a hot day well it is perfect. I also really think having a charger for your iphone if needed is really an asset. My husband liked it so much he wanted one as well. So we are a 2 Venty family. The only thing I would like is the remote control lighted as hard to see the controls at night.
I've had mine for over a year and it is a nifty little fan. I saw it after getting spammed with ig ads until I finally got one. It's really nice, however I did have some small oddities that I hope they fixed: For starts. Their usb cable they give you isn't rated for the charging current it needs. I've ended up having to use my Nintendo switch usb c cable and it seemed to do the trick. The other thing was ensuring you are using a using a 5v2.1a charger or above to use it. I do feel that the voltage recommendations aren't accurate. The manual say to use a 5v2a cable, but I've noticed when you have it plugged in with maybe two features on; it'll eventually die on the charger which can be pretty annoying. it's safe to use a 5v3a and it'll work fine. Idk why their customer service didn't know about their voltage recommendations for their own product but I thought this would be helpful. They've sent me the wrong usb c cable twice before I figured all of this out. BTW, thanks for this video! I've always wanted to see a comparison on these two fans lol
I really wish you had some more tests with the battery longevity. I have an off grid cabin that gets hot. The Venty fan is probably a great option for me, but which one charges faster? 8 hours of use per night for 5-6 nights sounds great, but if it takes significantly longer to charge on the generator, maybe it's a no from me. We charge everything we need in 1-2 hours every 2-3 days. Extending that means more gasoline.
I just ordered the My Foldaway Fan about 10 minutes ago from Amazon. I chose this one based on your review and the fact that it extends to 40”. Amazon even offered a one-time 25% off coupon!
The "Cool Chill Fan" I have has a remote, and it swivels back & forth. It also has a timer (I don't remember how many, but at least 2 or 3). It was bought at ShowCase also for $40 CAD.
I'd watch you review anything. You could review salt and I'd watch it. "So I have this Himalayan salt here on my green beans, and I gotta tell ya, not much difference from the Morton's" Lmao
I think the real thing with the features is to keep in mind your own use case. It's a portable fan meant to run on battery power and not be plugged in all the time, so your use of it being within arms reach and at your desk at all times is pretty narrow compared to what I think their target market is. The powerbank feature would be awesome for someone who is going to want/need one anyway, but now they can also get a good functional product maybe on the beach or while camping, etc. So I can definitely see the perks of those features but man $80 for a small plastic and aluminum fan really would be tough to justify, no matter the features.
The light on the bottom is good to keep you from running into it at night. PS: I don't know about any other people but I judge a fan and how worthy It Is by how much it blows my hair. Might I suggest a long-haired wig to show us gals how strong the fan really is😊
With a 16,000mah battery, that 80 Dollar fan has about 45 watt hours. A decent floor fan will use 25 watts on low and 45 on med and about 60 on high. So about an hour on a decent AC floor fan is what that battery is equivalent. To get 10 hours of runtime from this fan is to use 4.5 watts. 4.5 watts doesn't do crap. Drop it to 5 hours and we're talking 9 watts of air moving (assuming the oscillator isn't running), which also doesn't do crap.
That light and charging capability might be very helpful when all the hurricane shutters are up and the power goes out. I'd also consider bringing it on a cruise, which is my idea of camping.
My first thought with the Venty was it would be great on a nightstand. When it's hot weather, besides the window air conditioner and ceiling fan, I have a clip-on, corded fan on my headboard. Thing is, it doesn't oscillate, so if I roll at night. might not get a breeze. Besides the oscillation, the Venty could have duel purpose as a light on your nightstand, and aimed towards the bed, the breeze would go from head to foot. The remote would be handy. Keep it under your pillow, and you don't have to put forth any effort (roll over, fumble for the controls, etc) to control the whole works. Another great idea, is down in the storm cellar. You not only have some light, and a fan if desired (I'm extremely hot natured, and I'd been down there with my 100lb & 60lb dogs, so air circulation would be nice.) Then of course, you have the ability to charge your cell phone. I wish it wasn't so expensive. Maybe it will come down in price, be put on sale. Otherwise I'll have to wait for my refund check, or win the lottery.
As an avid overlander, the Venty fan looks is worth at least 3 times more than the other one. The battery alone has almost 5x the capacity, and the remote feature would be most convenient. The way I see it, this product isn't designed for use as a stationary desk fan, so shouldn't have been reviewed as such. The real test would be cutting the power off to your home in the summer for a weekend, or take it camping for a few days, and see which one you'd recommend then. I'd bet money that you'd change your mind to the Venty by day 2. If you need a desk fan or a home fan, get one designed for that purpose. I enjoy most of your reviews, but this one, although it covers all of the bases, wasn't a really accurate test.
My big question is how easily they are cleaned. Do they come apart? Do you need special tools? But what you have shown, I would go with the Venty because of the extra features. I have regular fans for everyday use, but when the power goes it gets miserable quickly.
They sold the my fold away fan here in Australia and I got one on holiday when 8t was hot. Then they got recalled because they catch fire when charging sometimes.
I wanted a more thorough test on volume. I don't like buzzy fans when I'm trying to sleep, and a friend who works in the tech area at church (in the balcony, of course) wants a fan up there because it gets hot, but needs a very quiet one. How loud are these fans, really? The Venty's oscillation feature seems like it would be much quieter than standard oscillating fans because the whole unit turns instead of just the fan part. That is where most of the noise comes from an regular fans.
Got a knockoff from the customer returns bin store for $5. Came with a decent 18650 cell. You can buy better 18650s, and even carry around spares and separate chargers. That aspect makes it handy, but we'll see about durability at music festivals, where things get bashed around.
I’ve been using the folding fan or over a year now and honestly the only thing that I like better is the run time from the other one otherwise doesn’t make me want to spend the $$$$ over the cheaper one
I prefer a louder fan. I will not buy a fan that's advertised as being quiet. Because not only do I use the fan for a cool breeze, I also use it for background noise
When I needed a fan....the fold away one was always advertised. I tried to obtain it on Amazon but I had no luck obtaining it. I bought several differing types from stores etc. They take up space, broke easily and worth not worth the price I wasted. I have small little battery fans I move everywhere with me. My ac is problematic and I dread summer. I might just try the foldaway if I can obtain it.👍
Instead of throwing away the arbitration clause, you should return any item that comes with an arbitration clause. Make sure you tell them it is BECAUSE of the arbitration clause that you are returning it. That is the *only* way they are going to stop doing it. These things are EVIL. They are robbing you of your rights.
If you need a battery-powered fan, the Venty fan will make you much happier than the short-lived Foldaway. A good rechargeable battery is expensive! This is one of those cases where you get valuable features for the extra money.
Which one is louder? I need the fan for the noise at night. And the white noise machines don't work for me (my brain can tell they're not a real box fan)
A bigger one (a couple inches) with a bigger battery and taller reach, maybe even a reading light integrated into the fan hub would be great. It could even have flip out feet on the bottom for extra stability.
My mom gave me an older model of My Fold Away Fan. The date code says 2104, so I am thinking that it was manufactured in July 2014. It has a micro USB and also runs on 4 AA batteries. The USB does not recharge the batteries, they run independently of the other. It is also a desktop model which telescopes between 6 to 12 inches in height. Only has 3 settings, OFF, LOW, or HIGH which is controlled by the touch of one button. Pretty pleased with it while it is plugged in, however, with batteries, even strong Alkaline batteries, it seems like it only lasts up to 15 hours on low, maybe up to 12 on high, didn't actually allow the batteries to go dead since I am really only using it inside. The label also only says Household use only. For the featured fans, I likely would continue with the My Fold Away Fan for $40.
I think the Venty fan would be better in a suitcase. I travel with a fan everywhere I go, hotels, Airbnb‘s, etc. and I carry a big clunky fan around with me and I think the smaller one would fit in my suitcase a lot better. Any thoughts?
Hey man, been loving your reviews for a couple of years now, most honest and informational reviews online! I was wondering ive you got an update on the "Range Mate Pro" , if they have new product or if its still as good as a couple of years ago? Thanks, keep up the good work!
if one intends to use the fan in the living room or the bedroom, the venty is by far the superior product. the lights can come handy, the oscillating feature is awesome and the remote is almost a must when it comes to convenience in larger rooms. and i hate the 3 seconds buttons of the foldaway. if its only used for the desk, then a much cheaper fan would do the job. i dont see any benefit for the foldaway..
I’d probably go with neither lol, I need way more power in a fan. But if I had a situation where I planned to not have decent power access I’d probably go for the venty. That battery difference is pretty huge
I have the Venty for my office that doesn't have any type of airflow and it's a lifesaver! But, the On button on the remote has never worked so I feel kinda dooped there
I saw this review a while back and thought to myself, "Oh, who cares? I live in Seattle, and it's not going to be hot for a few more months!" Whoops! It is REALLY hot in Seattle now! And it's only the middle of May! Suddenly I had to go back and find your review. Tomorrow I hope to buy some fans! 😂😅
For me I have the amazon version of the fold away fan and the charging port is loose so that sucks and the charge is awful. I need the fan because I can’t sleep without it nor my kids.. we have a lot of blackouts in the winters and fire season and it’s hot then too .. the $80 version would be a light.. a fan.. AND A CHARGER! Yes that’s amazing..
The venti would be good for camping. If needed to get up at night the light would be nice and phone hookup nice. Then recharge in vehicle or generator if the generator has the place for cord. Wish it was less expensive
I think a remote is always a big seller for people, for example being able to control it from bed. the other one youd have to get out of bed to changes it..
It's worth the extra $40 if you live in New Orleans and want to prepare for hurricane season. A fan blowing for 48 hours when there is no power is a game changer.
If the fan is on the floor next to your bed and you need to make the call at night, it would be good to see where you put your feet, so as to not step on the base in the dark! OUCH! But it is not worth the extra $40, I agree with you on That!
If you're going to take the fan camping or out door somewhere, the Venty seems like a great idea. If you're just using it in the home, the fold away would take the win.
Why even get a folding, rechargeable fan if it's for daily use? I'd rather get a cheaper larger $20 fan. However, If it's for power outages, I'd pick the Venty all day long.
It's worth the extra $40 if you wanted to use it as a camping fan or in a power outage. It lasts for a couple days, has a light which is handy in a tent, and can charge the phone in an emergency.
Honestly, this is the only reason I would even consider buying it. A regular old box fan would fit my needs otherwise. 👍

Didn't think of that. Could definitely be an issue with a round remote. I have enough problems with the tv remote in the dark.
Mine has a raised dot between the on and off buttons.
I would hope you would have tested the venti fan on high, oscilating, and with the high light on to see how long it would have lasted
I was hoping he'd leave them on and see how long the battery actually lasted ^^;

Would love to see you look at a Vornado fan. Those are truly better than any fan I've ever seen by a MILE, it even blows away those Dyson fans
I agree. Those are expensive for tiny fans. I`d rather get a bigger fan and put it on low.
I get that but you're posting for the convenience factor of not wanting a huge fan you have to drag and plug in
Seems these are targeted for extreme portability and lack of power aka traveling or camping.
Hi James,
I have a nock off of the My fold away fan which has served me well.
I’m thinking the light on the floor is actually ideal. I need to see where I’m stepping more than anything (when using a night light).
Honestly. The venty being usb c and having a remote is what sold me on it.
The light feature while on the floor would be useful during the night if someone gets up and needs a little light to move around so they don't trip on something or a pet.
Great point that I hadn't thought of and I definitely need it for these exact reasons. Thanks!
Very timely review James... I was looking for a portable fan and this was a great comparison.
Love the review! I purchased the Venty for traveling. The case is great plus the option to charge phone if needed in emergency.
I have the Venti. It's battery life is great. Love the remote. Has a light also. Worth the 80
The Venty seems to be OK at a lot of things to justify that cost.
I love my Venty Fan. I stay in hotels roughly 200 nights a year and it's amazing. The case is great and neatly tucks into my luggage. Awesome fan.
It's really nice, however I did have some small oddities that I hope they fixed:
For starts.
Just stopping by to say your videos are encouraging and inspiring for aspiring reviewers like myself! Thank you for great content 🤙🏾
Might I suggest a long-haired wig to show us gals how strong the fan really is😊
Man, this is the life! Do you need an assistant? Seriously 🤣
This would be amazing for camping or in an RV situation
The My Foldaway fan has a easily removable grill so you can clean the dust off the blades, grill, etc.
What about the battery charging and using times?
They sold the my fold away fan here in Australia and I got one on holiday when 8t was hot. Then they got recalled because they catch fire when charging sometimes.
Thanks that helps so much. 🤗
@@7-ten Not what they said.
@@BrittMFH you are correct. I read it wrong.
Were the speed ratings in cfm or mph? Would like to see comparison vs a ryobi or Milwaukee fan that uses my tool battery.
Does the Venty run while plugged in? Does its battery charge while running?
Got a knockoff from the customer returns bin store for $5. Came with a decent 18650 cell. You can buy better 18650s, and even carry around spares and separate chargers. That aspect makes it handy, but we'll see about durability at music festivals, where things get bashed around.
I’ve been using the folding fan or over a year now and honestly the only thing that I like better is the run time from the other one otherwise doesn’t make me want to spend the $$$$ over the cheaper one
Can the cover easy to disengage if you to clean the blades?
I prefer a louder fan. I will not buy a fan that's advertised as being quiet. Because not only do I use the fan for a cool breeze, I also use it for background noise
I’ve had the fold away fan for a couple of years. I didn’t have a high expectations but it has worked well for us.
How do you actually order a fan in Canada? All I see are short films on how it works. Thank you
FYI I am trying to buy the venty fan using your link, but both Amazon links don't work for me :(
If you need a battery-powered fan, the Venty fan will make you much happier than the short-lived Foldaway. A good rechargeable battery is expensive! This is one of those cases where you get valuable features for the extra money.
Which one is louder? I need the fan for the noise at night. And the white noise machines don't work for me (my brain can tell they're not a real box fan)
Should've tested the battery life.. I'd get the $80 fan if the battery was significantly better than the $40 fan.
A bigger one (a couple inches) with a bigger battery and taller reach, maybe even a reading light integrated into the fan hub would be great. It could even have flip out feet on the bottom for extra stability.
My favorite is the three in one breakfast maker
Venty fan saved my hide in a power outage in a hotel in NC last summer!
Vented would be nice for tent camping.
This review, my friend, is blowing in the wind...
if one intends to use the fan in the living room or the bedroom, the venty is by far the superior product. the lights can come handy, the oscillating feature is awesome and the remote is almost a must when it comes to convenience in larger rooms. and i hate the 3 seconds buttons of the foldaway. if its only used for the desk, then a much cheaper fan would do the job. i dont see any benefit for the foldaway..
I'd gladly go with the $40 one -- I don't see the other features being worth paying twice the price for.
Wish it was less expensive
any chance of your doing runtime tests on both of them ?
I think a remote is always a big seller for people, for example being able to control it from bed. the other one youd have to get out of bed to changes it..
Where are they manufactured?
Oh wow. I can already see that Venti is more for camping trip where you'll stay over night for a day or 2.
Can u use it while folded?
Thanks for sharing your thoughts😀
I hope mine doesn't go out. Even if it does, this isn't for me. Thanks, James for the review. 🤗
It's worth the extra $40 if you live in New Orleans and want to prepare for hurricane season. A fan blowing for 48 hours when there is no power is a game changer.
I'm a fan of your fan video
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Might have been mentioned but I live in Texas. We lose power enough that in the summer this would be awesome. Even in other times it’s hot enough.
0:30 it needs durability test too 😅
If the fan is on the floor next to your bed and you need to make the call at night, it would be good to see where you put your feet, so as to not step on the base in the dark! OUCH! But it is not worth the extra $40, I agree with you on That!
Not sure I would trust the longevity of these. I have had my vornado for 7 years. Still works like day one.
Yea they are both over priced But I would like to have the Venty for camping for the longer battery life and the light
Thanks for the review.
Ooooh new video sending love from the UK 🎉
Nice behind the scenes. Nice guitar too. You play?
If you're going to take the fan camping or out door somewhere, the Venty seems like a great idea. If you're just using it in the home, the fold away would take the win.
Why even get a folding, rechargeable fan if it's for daily use? I'd rather get a cheaper larger $20 fan. However, If it's for power outages, I'd pick the Venty all day long.
