Brother, perhaps (and definitely check in with the Lord on it) the Lord has a greater purpose for you, in this dark hour that we’re living in, than the studio you were looking forward to building? If you know passages such as Matthew 24...the world is, quickly, going south; and our nation’s economy, etc. will not last.
Christ is returning. And before He does, a lot of bad is going to have to rip through this world. God wants souls; and a lot of those souls are hard hearted - which, basically, requires God to take away ALL of what their flesh depends on (and worships) so that they’ll CRY OUT TO HIM.
As you mentioned, Christ and eternity is what matters. And God will need to do what He has written in His Word in order to keep many out of the pits of Hell.
Anyhow brother, keep your spiritual armor on (Ephesians 6:13-19), and your fam and loved ones prayed up. The war with the devil will continue to intensify, until Christ returns.
I wanna share some prayer points, here, which I hope can be a help (and, again, for those reading, confirm with God in prayer if He wants you to use these).

In the name of Jesus, we destroy all the works of the enemy against our progress and projects. In Jesus name, we burn up all oppression influencing the mind.
I decree and declare that we will only be clothed with honor, majesty and strength. We declare that God is strong in our weakness. Never frustration!
And we decree we’re winning, only.
In Jesus name, we invoke a wall of fire, a hedge of protection and a smoke screen.

And we declare that we put on the full Armor of God. Thank You, Lord. Amen.

@@EmptyHammock Suggest getting out of any debt if you have any ASAP, too much instability in this world, country today, focus on Jesus ( NOT necessarily your particular Faith tradition because we pick up bias and incorrect concepts about Jesus, His kingdom & His ways many times in such) IF a person is truelly Born Again by experience they are COMPLETE in Christ, & Christ has been made unto them Wisdom, Sanctification & Redemption, He WILL give you wisdom in all three and in you daily affairs in life, Practice the Presence of God daily.

Well said. Life is tough and often unfair. It's how we handle it that is important.
As you started this testimony, I was reminded of 1Thessalonians 16 - 18. I love your love for God and how the Word of God is LIVING in you through the Holy Spirit. Even in times of trouble. What an Awesome God we serve and what a powerful testimony.
I have gotten to the point that any time I feel I am being tried I just ask the question "What do you need me to learn?". Its unbelievable how easy it is to face the storm when you are looking for the opportunities within it.

Oh Barry, we were homeless from Jan 02,2022 till 6/25/22 and my husband was severely injured on the job 6/24/22. He is still in the hospital and the 4 of us left, had to pick up the pieces of our life. We got our truck fixed and we moved to a brand new rental house and my husband was transferred to SoCal from Norcal where we live. Through all the awfulness that happened in 2022 to me and my family, we have given thanks to God, that we were finally able to rent and that my husband of 28 years is still alive. Through it all, we are stronger together. God Bless everyone

Barry, thank you for your testimony, I have one too, my oldest son died almost three years ago with a ruptured aortic aneurysm. It was meant to be, he was an ordained street preacher so I was not apprehensive about his eternity. His one and only child is three and she is the spitting image of him. I'm thankful the Lord allowed us to be a part of her life. I'm thankful my husband and I still have good health, and I'm thankful my other children and grandchildren are healthy and know the Lord. I'm very thankful you are still here for your family and yourself. I'm thankful for your shared message. May you be blessed and know the goal God is taking you to. Sometimes His answer is no..... G-d gives us waaaay more than we can handle on our own so we have to turn to Him with faith. My advice is Praise Him with everything you have! That’s what I had to do when some of my children had severe health issues. I will be praying for you and your family that G-d will outstretch His mighty hand and help.

Barry, there are many people that I know suffering one disappointment/mishap/tragedy after another. We are all being tested and having our faith shaken to see who will come forth as gold. You did exactly the right thing - you found something to be thankful for! God bless you brother. Blessed is our heavenly Father, King of all creation! I pray that the Lord keep giving you and your family the strength to handle the things He is walking you through. The country we live in seems to become more lost by the day, but as long as we believers keep on believing, and keep praying for and loving on one another, we'll make it through the hard times - until Jesus calls us home.

The past 3 years we've been parked in a shop, awaiting the day we can build a home on our property. The pandemic surged the week we relocated, and, with everything, it's been a downward spiral ever since. Especially as a parent, it's easy to be caught up in our limbo, lament how my children no longer remember what it's like to live in a house and potentially won't have a home to return to when they're grown; when ultimately all that matters, all that should truly ruffle my feathers as a mother, is whether their *souls* have a home for all eternity. Thank you for this solid reminder.

Aw, you can tell you're your parents' son. They raised you well. And you combine their best traits, I think. You have your dad's practicality, and abilities to build and repair things. And you have your mother's joy in life! So glad you came through that wreck unscathed, personally!! 💚
Sometimes life just throws everything at us! And yes, thanksgiving helps us survive all the mess of living! My son is very much going thru a similar time of circumstances! Your perspective of the love of God does help us know that the unseen is more important than the seen. A Christian perspective helps us get thru a lot of stuff. May God continue to bless you and my son, wherever He chooses to lead you both.

God has something fantastic in store for you have faith and thank him for all he has done for you and all he will do. I am 74 year old great-grandmother and in less than 6 month period 2 of my sons passed. one was 26 years police officer the other was streaming media engineer in television it was hard but God blessed me to get through it. I will always love them and know God loved them best.

My DH was hit head on Feb 19th. He had some injuries but it is a miracle he wasn't injured more or killed. The driver that hit him is in the ICU still and isn't doing well so we are praying for him to recover.

This was very relatable although not a close call as you had on the highway (so thankful you are ok!)
Our dog got hit by someone when he ran down our driveway in January then our son totaled his car, bought a truck and the wheel came off on the way to the garage 🤦♀️. He drove our car to church and the transmission died. Got our tax return picked up last week and we got slammed worse this year than ever. Our heads have been spinning, but we have so much to be thankful for 🙏 It is true, that all we can take with us to heaven is other people. That is truly all that matters.

I cried when I heard your story and your Godly words. Times are so difficult for my family right now. We have had two very important people on both sides of our family pass away in 2 months time. We are going to be forced to sell our home at a loss very soon (watch out who you trust to do business with, even if they are blood relatives) ...and there's much more, but I won't bore you with the details. I wish I could help you in a monetary fashion. I pray that you will receive bigger blessings from God that he will provide you with exactly what you ask. We are taught to ask God for what we want with faith (this means no doubts in him at all) My big problem is, I get bogged down with feelings of unworthiness. Remember we have to ask and keep asking for what we need. Thanks for being a wonderful inspiration. Pray/ask and expect a miracle. I know you will do what you need to do. I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I've had to thank God many times for NOT giving me exactly what I want and have fervently prayed for with all the faith in the world. I have often found out that what I thought I wanted, or was even convinced I NEEDED, would have been terrible. I've had to trust that Jesus, the creator of the entire universe, knows whats best for little ol' me, regardless of my own desires.. Our worth is found in Christ alone! STAY STRONG! :)
Ive been in an unbeliveable whirl wind of heartbreak and rejection, and struggling each day to push forward. Thank you for reminding me that my strength is in Christ and not this world. Its given me the encouragement I needed to move forward and not look back. Im so looking forward to The Rapture and truly believe we are on the cusp of eternity. Prophecy has expiry dates and globally speaking there is no sustainability anymore. Come quickly Lord Jesus

Bless you. You are so singing my song. I have used the exact words, verbatim. I have watched you mainly because I love your parents, but you just got my heart, friend. All that matters is Jesus. All that matters is those things that are eternal, and that boils down to salvation, marriage, children, family, and brothers and sisters in Christ. All the rest is just stuff.

I am sorry, Barry, that you didn't make enough money on the house to build your studio. When housing prices started to tank right before you were ready to sell, I was worried about how much you would get and glad it sold. And then all the problems with your business and vehicles. You have a good attitude, though. You know what it really important. And you do have many blessings, a home that is yours, a wife who gardens, kids who are hard working, health, loyalty. And your life. That accident could have been so much worse. Surely something good is coming your way.
I look forward to being with Jesus some day. THAT is a guaranteed good thing that's coming.. :)
