Haha! Well Jack has said before that he had to go through speech therapy at a young age because he had a hard time connecting words and concepts; so I assume she's talking about that, that at one time he could say a few words, lost it, and then at age 3 was able to look at objects and name them again.

The whole movie is 90 minutes and takes place over several years of life of the protagonist, but the whole series of events feels like it's taking up half an hour of real time on screen. Shit happens way too fast and it doesn't really let you sit in a scene and experience buildup or character development, and it's not the only Disney movie that feels like that to me. Songs are bangers tho
