I’d love a tutorial on the out-of-sim flight planner. I’ve made a couple, and they’ve worked-ish, but there were always a few issues, likely because I was doing something wrong. Also, is there any way to get it to compute how much fuel your trip is likely to take, because mine always says 0 and I have to guess when outfitting my plane. Again I am probably just not doing something right.

That level of integration with the planner (and by extension - LNV) all the way through to the Garmin is very cool. Thank you for going through the effort of showing that. If I may make a request, a video going through controller setup in 2024 would be awesome. Im a long time simmer and I find the new system rather confusing to say the least

Great video. I picked up a copy of your Pre-Flight. You have really sparked an idea can you please create a video tutorial on flight planning using the options you mentioned.
The reason for the odd shaped pattern at Turweston is noise abatement. As you approach your waypoint 4 you could just make out a house in a copse of trees. The trees are not there, or at least they don’t hide the house so well IRL. You make your turn before that house and head for the runway. If you fly over the house the airport gets a stroppy letter from the owner of the house.
Ha ha, We had a loud complaint from a new house owner, at RAF Lyneham, going ballistic that GIANT aircraft were almost hitting her house, she called the police etc. She’d only bought a house less than 1/4mle from the main runway. Our base was shielded from view by her hedge…..she’d viewed it at the weekends….err. Unlucky, see your estate agent…Ascot 206 cleared for finals…. We did feel a wee bit sorry…but wee were here first
Stunning how many people buy houses on the flight path of an airport and then complain that aircraft fly in and out of them. That particular house is also between Turweston and Silverstone so it’s mental on a Grand Prix weekend. Light aircraft coming in and the passengers transferring to helicopters for the flight to the track. And the it all happens in reverse at the end of the day. Don’t even think about trying to book a flying lesson 😂

Great video again. What map background are you using in Little Navmap ? I like the lack of details. When I look at the same location in my version I see lots of road details etc. Are you using a specific map theme or setting ? Thanks
Hi and thank you for this video. I’m totally new to msfs so I’m looking a lot of UA-cam. I’m still learning in the Cessna before I try other planes. I’ve got a TFlight Hotas one. Can you tell why my plane keeps having trouble in straight flying. My left wing keeps wanting to go down very slow and if I look behind the plane it looks like it’s flying a bit diagonal to the left also. Is this all because of Live Weather I have on or not trimmed the rudder or aileron ? I’m a bit confused in where to look for the solution. Thank you in advance 🙏🏻
Man I wish my mouse interactions were that smooth. I've found that half the time, I have to move my mouse so many inches off of the actual target to get it to selected and then the hitbox is so itty bitty tiny that just the act of clicking unselects whatever it was I had highlighted it's infuriating.
With the click points the sim displayed during the walk-around, do they work with the checklists in the tablet? I know the checklists have eye icons, but I’ve never been able to get them to work.
I want the old fuel/payload menu back, this new tablet based one is convoluted and bad; I cant even seem to find the MTOW anymore, and not easily being able to configure the aircraft is going to become a huge issue for Neofly or Air Hauler players.
I'm a bit confused. I've been using the Cessna 172 since 2024 came out a few days ago and always had a copilot and seats. Now the only option I have with this plane is cargo only. I can't seem to get my copilot back. Am I missing something?
The Cessna 172 configured as "Basic" is the Cessna 172 from the Premium 2020 version w/ a Garmin 530/430 and old school radios. THAT model is very broken... you can't even power on the radios or the 530. I'm sure this will get patched soon, but just FYI.
Scenery looks washed out and lacking in contrast compared to MSFS2020 (and not in a 'realistic' way). You might want to use the filters in the Nvidia app to adjust that.... Thanks for the vid. You highlighted some things that were overlooked by other reviewers. Look forward to you developing the MSFS 2024 series.
It's working for me :) Not having to use VPN either - the European servers seem to be fine. There are of course lots of small bugs in the sim, and the marketplace isn't up and running yet, but you can go flying :)
Good video, but I really see no reason to relearn a new keyboard layout. Really is no purpose to that. There are only so many keys on a keyboard. Just select the option to revert back to 2020 settings and life is good.

I really wish more of the planes supported the "send to avionics" function. Its very handy.

I only have medivac Cessna caravan, no cargo or passenger varient
But you can buy all varieties of planes in career mode. But I'm still not 100 percent sure about that.

Figured it out. After selecting the plane you need to select " Configure"
I am not able to start the engine. Ctrl + E does not work either. Did this just start happening?
I was able to start automatically on runway.
What happened to the steam gauge version of C172? Is it there and I haven't found it?
The aircraft in MSFS2024 have variants AND liveries - look in the configuration option within the Cessna 172.

Yep - I already saw that. I'm sticking to the 2024 aircraft to begin with.
the sim lets you set the default key bindings to MSFS 2020 so no need to learn them all again
