@@colt6051 I didnt, really. In my experience you really want like 5 up minimum for a bareable not gritty stream. But I also dont have a ton of experience in general.

Hey Agent, I have an i7-4790k and a Gigabyte G1 1070, and 16GB of ram with 3.2mbps upload and 19 down. What bitrate would you suggest for stream PUBG and other FPS, also what video settings?
Jesus Christ that setup though loving it already tbh.. Hmm good question you could try of with 720p at 30fps see how that goes. You should be able to get away with 1500 bitrate for the livestream but its really just testing it out and finding a sweet spot. Plus i7 makes live easier again for livestreaming

Great video man, it helped a lot. I have 0.83~0.9 upload speed, and I'm trying to stream at 720p. What bitrate do you suggest ? I tried 700 and 800 both, and it didn't pixelise, but it had some bufferings every few seconds.
If it's an offline game maybe around 600 to 700 because you have to realise that bit-rate is only for the video and not the audio yet plus the random lag spikes. If its online game that may be a little hard because you can't use all of your upload speed because you'll just lag. 720p streaming is possibly with lower motion games but fps games it will be hard
So, if I stream an online game 700 bitrate plus 64 audio is fine?
No definitely not.. You will lag like crazy because you are pretty much using all of your upload speed
Yeah, you're right. I tried it and I didn't lag in game tho, only stream buffered sometimes. Then, what do you suggest for online games ? (I don't have a problem with in-game ms, I just want the stream to be as smooth as it can)
Maybe try using a lower bitrate and going from there

Umm little weird that your down and upload speed are the same but they look like it should be good. Since 4mb upload speed is plenty for 720p 30fps just dont use too much upload speed since it will affect your download speed. PC Specs are great no dramas there. Just test it out

so im thinking about streaming subnautica, i've got 1.03 upload speed. I put my bitrate to 1000 and stream on 30 fps 852x480 (480p) and yet somehow its still a little bit choppy... Any ideas?

i have 4.68mbp/s with a i5 6600 gtx 960 overclocked whats the best settings for me i've been trying for ages!
What have you tried ? and what has happened with those settings
I've tried most settings in the stream tab in obs it turns out good handling around a stable 60fps but its really pixelated and its hard to watch. I don't know if there is any other way around it getting it less pixelated. I've been messing around with different settings for around 1-2 hours.
Umm drop it to 30fps and stream at 720p plus use like 2000 bit rate see how that goes
Just remember your audio bit rate gets added on to it plus the odd random spikes of streaming
You should be able to stream fine with your upload speed though and that rig

riteasrain We can only do so much in terms of live streaming in Australia because our upload speed is extremely restrictive. Just doing what I can to help people but we can’t expect HD live streams with some of the upload speeds people have been posting. Feel like I’m answering the same questions all the time 😅 ohh well

do you have bitrate reccomend for 480p-540p? i have upload 5-7 mb/s upload but i'm not sure how many bitrate i should set.
GottoGure sheesh you are so lucky.. Umm you can try using 1mb of your upload speed so 1000kbs for the stream
But you'll probably be able to move it higher
Could even do 720p
Maybe find a video that's better suited for 720p streaming
I wouldn't know too much about actual having a decent upload speed

It is an easy game to run but your upload speed is lacking for it

I play Ark Survival Evolved and after a speed test it says i have a 3.15mb upload, i did a stream with original settings and it was laggy AF. I recon the 3.15 is a upper estimate tbh so i set my soeed to 1500 that too low?.. Do you still think i need to mess with the resolution settings? i have an i56600 and a 1060 6gb 16 mb ram

I am pretty sure you should be able to stream 720p 30 fps easy with your rig aswell
As in the game was laggy or the stream ?
If the game is laggy when you are playing it maybe turn the bitrate a little lower thats the hard part of streaming if you use too much of your upload speed you will lag in online games
Yeah the game was laggy, my ping went from 39 to 255 lol i just tested it with reduced setting and the ping went down to about 40, i watched the stream on my laptop and it seemed laggy from the viewers perspective so not sure what that means.. Keep up the good work man, its much appreciated
Suoo DimNim with that graphics card you can use Nvidia shadowplay to stream your games with no impact on your game

Dam man to be honest you probably have better luck just recording gameplay and uploading it to youtube. It will be much better plus the quality will be amazing. Plus your upload speed isn't that bad for uploading hd gameplay

ReMoooN If you have a Nvidia graphics card that supports Nvidia shadowplay you can stream directly from that with no decrease in fps

You can try using 1mbs to see if you will lag while trying to live stream while playing the online game
If it continues to lag you will have to lower it down but you just need to test it out

You could try streaming at 360 or 480p but i think 720p will be too much for your upload speed
Since you have to pick a bit rate just for the video and then audio aswell also taking into count the random spikes in the internet
Plus fortnite is a high motion game so it definitely needs a decent upload speed for good quality

erm, my upload speed, according to, googles speed test thingy, is, 0.59mbps :/ clearly this means, i can't stream, right? thats pretty clear right? i know, i need better broadband :L 2gb download limit (expires soon and i'll be getting a better package) im not interested in streaming, per-se, but, i wondered if you knew what the "best" qaulity i should set ps4 streaming to, for youtube streaming, with my absolutely rubbish upload, which im sure cannot be right :/ i'll have to check speedtest dot net, and find out what i should have upload wise from my provider :/

AgentBase AUS haha I've pretty much decided that it's not possible with my current upload, I watched back a live stream from a game on ps4 that I'd done and sadly it blurred and there were bits where it just jumped. I'd be fighting s group and suddenly theyre all dead and I'm in another part of map fighting more enemies aha, I reckon if I plan on doing streams just for fun I'll be doing them when I get a better broadband ;) until Then, gameplay recordings work fine. Pc is useless for gaming, ultra low quality and no one wants that when they're watching someone play;) ps4 is fine for recording but pc not so much aha

Yeah probably not 60 fps I would say 30 fps because people that stream at 60 fps have upload speeds of like 10mb plus
I'm not sure it will be worth while streaming.. This is the problem with live streaming its more you guys taking the information i give you and actually try it out but at the end of the day people want HD quality. Not many people would sit and a watch a low quality stream unless you have a built a YT channel with quality footage first. So you could at least have some loyal fans that will watch either way
