I have a VERY low end pc. Basically a nvidia 9600GT 512mb. Do everything in this video and TURN ON disable aero in video options. This will work. Like this comment so everyone sees

I have a graphics card but it’s not showing up
When I run a game without OBS I run about 30 FPS but the second I open OBS, my FPS lower to about 10, why is this and how can I fix it?

If you have 30 fps while not rec you need to buy another pc or set the settings of game from like high to low or very low [if you already did not] if that boosts your fps to like 70 you still cant rec at 30 so download CpuCoreParking Program and then set everything to 100% then try if your fps is to about 120 you can rec at 30 fps hope i helped you!
A tip is before you download obs turn off all other files

Nope. There is no way to enable Nvenc. If you don't have it ( like me :( )That means that you'r gpu is either too old or just doesn't support it. D:
Nah, I had the same problem. Now if you got an OLD OLD pc maybe but if you go to your nvidia settings and search for updates SOMETHING may pop up. It did for me lol now I can record with nvenc

bitrate is also not hard to understand, it is simply kbps (kilo bits per second) which refers to the file size. 1 kbps = 1 kbs (kilo bytes a second). kbps should be relative to your internet speed. while not mattering as much when recording as it is saving the data to your computer, when streaming it depends on your internet speed. if you get 3 mbps upload then you have to stay within 3000 kbps and leave more head room for bandwidth for the game you're playing on etc. It also matters for your viewers internet. If youre streaming at 5000 kbps and your viewers only have 3 mbps download, then they will experience a lot of buffering and wont have a good stream experience. to compensate for this, you have your processor usage preset. quicker = less quality and slower = more quality. that is why you need a good cpu/gpu to stream, as streaming at 3000 kbps on ultrafast preset is blurry but streaming on 3000 kbps on slow will be a crisp image.
You saved mde needid it soooo much, my pc is not too bad its a gaming one! But the problem was the bitrate for recording i guess thank you soo much! Now i also know what bitrate is and what scaling is like bliear and that stuff thanks man!!! +1 sub notifications on and like!

Just so everyone knows, since this guy doesn't mention it, Twitch recommends setting your bitrate to 85% of your upload speed. So, for those with a really low upload speed, 1500, which is roughly 1.5mbps, might be too high. So make sure you do a speed test and find out what YOUR speeds are, don't just set your bitrate off of this video. I've helped a lot of people setup their streams, with poor internet, poor hardware, good hardware, good internet, so you just need to find that sweetspot for your specific hardware and upload speeds. However, all this being said, he is correct when he says that you really don't want to go much above 1500 if you have bad hardware but good internet. Basically the bitrate is how much data is being encoded and sent, so your PC can't keep up, causing your stream to lag. So if you are lagging at 1500, try lowering it a bit more. I have a few friends who stream at lower resolutions and lower bitrates and still bring in viewers, because they have good personalities. You need to remember that people are coming to be entertained, so your personality and how entertaining you are is very important.
Sorry for the longwinded comment, but streaming is a bit of a passion for me. As is helping others get into it.
