I'm so glad that you popped up in my feed. I got my press 3 days ago but I haven't used it yet. I am the type that likes to study and learn before doing things. Your video is what I needed to see to get me going. You have a new subbie here! 😊
Suzanne, I have been watching your channel and it's the best you do a really great job describing it all with detail that every crafter appreciates. just a note you may like using a Magic mat from Scrapbook to use with your Spellbinder cutting plates, all your die cuts come out smooth and you use only one top plate and no marks on the mat that cut into the backside of your die pieces.
Excellent video 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I love that Jet set pack. I ordered it from Amazon. Next day and no shipping cost 😂 all 4 are beautiful and that thunder is amazing. My archival cleaner, the top tore off. So I put it in a little spray bottle. It's easier to use. I rinse whatever I used the archival cleaner on with water😊
I started using the magnetic tool from the glimmer system to move the plates after inking to the chase, I also covered the magnetic base in glad press and seal, still gives some texture to the chase and cleans up oh so easy. Great video, love your accent!
Suzanne, this is why you are the QUEEN!! I love a great die!! I don't usually purchase stamps if no die. I think I passed on this for that reason. Now I have to go back and think about it. Thank you!!! Oh, oh and having the little side mat for the ink and twist, yes ma'am I need that. I have made such a mess, and I can't handle having ink everywhere. Feel better, my QUEEN !!!!!
You are Awesome! You are always all business & so prepared but no matter if you are telling us about the latest Steals & Deals you always have the best little tidbits. Thank you for being so kind to share.
Ok girl that silicone mat hack is cool. I definately need to do that I hate the cleaning on the platform and the slimy film. Thanks for advice... Love your cards btw...
Exactly Wendy! It’s still working like a charm. Some folks are telling me they use Saran Wrap on their magnetic chase… I find that like the acetate. I want to clearly see my grid lines.
Suzanne you are so awesome! I just got this new plate and I love the registration system but my sentiment was crooked too! I had no idea until watching your video there is a stamp/die set from 2023 that matches. You are fabulous 😊
Suzanne, this is so helpful! I have a lovely purple Diamond Press silicon mat that I will be using for this. Just placed my SB order and included the die that you discovered matches the Betterpress Registration die! Thanks also for the information about the Betterpress Society. I am lucky to still have a scrapbook store where I live, so I called this morning. They only recently found out about it from one of their class instructors, and will now inquire about participating. Really hoping they can still get the January plate! I have been eyeing the Altenew 3 press plate bundle, but a bit too pricey after my SB sale purchases, so added to my Altenew wish list that you suggested making.😊
Suzanne this was another great tutorial, thanks for all the tips. Really enjoy watching all your videos. As I watched you handle the BetterPress dies I am wondering if you can use the magnet tweezers that comes with the glimmer system to also pick and place the dies on the magnetic chase. I think is worth the try. I am going to test soon too.
Maybe?? But moving the inked plate around to the perfect spot once it touches that magnetic chase is an issue. You need your fingers. The plates stick to the chase.
Thanks for your videos. Love them so much!! QUESTION: when I use my betterpress it doesn’t feel like it is pressing much at all on my platform. Do you find the same?
Yes it feels like light tension. What’s your end result with the impression???? Is it deep and crisp? Are you using the 3 shims? When you press with the Double Weight cotton card, then you feel the resistance like diecutting. And you have to remove those 3 shims - you won’t be able to run it through. But your impression will be intense. I live double weight for florals!

Thanks Paul. Sometimes I don't get great cuts with a Magic Mat, so I rarely use it. I'll try again 😉👍
Suzanne make sure you use A plate and F shim and B plate and Magic Mat and C cutting plate.@@ACreativeMuse
@@paultaylor1756 thanks
Thankyou, that die is now $6.99 and I saved $5.00 off the stamp, Your awesome.

Yay Jane! I was like - skip the sentiment in the set. So many other options to use ❤️🥰👍

Sign up for Altenew Texts too. And when those BP plates go on sale…snag them. Or maybe SB will put them on sale one day????
What a phenomenal video!! Great info and tips plus laughter!! Thank you!!
Beautifully done!
