Back yrs ago in the late 80s we greased them every time we filled up with gas and oil.that made no difference in lifetime.neither does not greasing them .we tried it both ways ,no difference!
I’ve started greasing mine the last 2 year ever 2nd or 3rd sharpen but I don’t see that it’s lengthening my bar life I’ll probably quit when I go through the ones I have on current y’all have a good one
Steve have you tried Cannon bars any? I got a 28inch duralite very pricey but definitely a lot tougher than Sugi Tsumura or Stihl. As long as I don't run it over with a piece of equipment I think it should get 3x the life of the other brands but time will tell
No iv never tried them. All I run is sugi on my husky and stihl bars on my stihls. Had a old Oregon bar laying around and now I remember why I never used it before. They are trash
@@stevebillow395 lol lol don't take long to refresh ones memory when blisters pop up on finger tips!! But it be hard to beat sugihara for the money and how long they last if you run a sharp chain.
@@stevebillow395 yeah I've never used anything but 0.50. figured higher gauge is just more weight I'd rather get a little less life out of a bar and chain and travel lighter
Was that chain hot? Steve, “no,it just don’t take me long to look at a chain!”
No! Hot! Buuuuurn!
Boy that was brilliant 🤣 steal love you man 🤣👍🤪😁

Yep that makes for a fine slow down lol👍
Well, that hurt.
Not sure why I grabbed it lol
Thats why you don't run junk bars.
Exactly
You usually don't do that but once,I learned that when I was 12 yrs old!
Hahaha it's not my 1st time and I'm sure wont be the last

What are your thoughts on greasing the sprocket?
Iv never done it and prolly wont ever do it
Back yrs ago in the late 80s we greased them every time we filled up with gas and oil.that made no difference in lifetime.neither does not greasing them .we tried it both ways ,no difference!
Every time I swap chains out.

@@steppoffaith8426 I get my bars hammered at a local shop for less than 10 bucks a bar
@@stevebillow395 I was saying how burning your fingers refreshed your memory lol! Not talking aboutrefreshing the bar.
@@steppoffaith8426 yeah I know just answering back about the life of a sugi bar and how I keep them around
Ouch🤬🙏🙂
Merry Christmas billow family
Hope you had a good weekend
.058 or .063?
.50
@@stevebillow395 Wade says he likes 063 bars and chains cause they hold up better. What's your opinion?
@@AmateurLogger lol he says that cuz he can't keep a bar and chain long enough to get the life from it.

28” on the 592?
Merry Christmas
