I like how this version was out of context so then people who haven't seen the show won't feel like they're missing something. AMAZING job guys, and I applaud you for being able to do so much on a stage that's only so big.
Penguin Community there is really no way to make tap shoes be quiet. They cant pause a number to go put taps on so when a tap number is coming, most just do the scene in taps.
Chilliwoods1: Actually, that's up for interpretation. I personally think every single mormon in the show is gay (and I love it, it's so ironic), except for Cunningham maybe (because he's the only one who's implied to have a crush on a girl). A character can be gay without it being outright stated - I mean where does it say they're NOT gay? What do you assume them to be then? Bisexual? Heterosexual? Because they don't mention it. They could be anything. Besides there are lots of subtextual hints indicating that more than one of them could be gay. Let's face it, it is THE gay mormon musical. And even if they weren't gay, what's so wrong about making them all gay in some performances? The more the better. I don't get it why people get so upset if there are more than one gay character and/or if characters are interpreted as gay despite it not being "confirmed".
I feel even Cunningham could be. I mean, he does show attraction to Nala, but that doesn't mean he is 100% straight. Sometimes in the beginning of the musical it seems like he's gay for Price lol. So bi Cunningham is possible :) just a hc, I'm not saying he is gay or definitely queer
not bad made me laugh as the Broadway show did and the singing was not terrible it just sucks the stage was so small you could tell people were cramped and it made it uncomfortable for you and the viewers
probably for comedic effect. you can't lie, it's kinda funny to watch them all be super flamboyant. also, it probably gives the performance life and emotion
this video was a complete disgrace to the book of Mormon musical...I only wonder how Matt Stone and Trey Parker would feel if they saw this disastrous video. I mean I would be furious if I saw my brilliant work being butchered by these wanna be Broadway actors. I am appalled that this video has more likes than dislikes and completely and utterly disappointed in the people who actually thought this was good. You're obviously not true Book of Mormon fans or South Park fans.
What!!?? This production was nothing like you just said!! They did very well. Just because its not as “proper” as the actual show or not to your liking doesnt mean it isnt good. I think the creators would be proud in a way.

Nothing says that Mormons think being gay is bad like a spontaneous tap dance number.
I like how the scene was recreated so it worked out of context from the rest of the musical. Really entertaining, well done!
One suggestion: the tap number should be a surprise - no giveaways like click clacking across the floor.

I like how they made it work out of context! Otherwise this scene is kind of confusing.
Book of Mormon is one of the greatest musicals of all time and an institution of complex satire -- amazing.
obsessed with the tap dancing in this!!
What's missing is the red vests.
OH MY GOSH THIS IS THE BEST VERSION I HAVE SEEN AND I LOVE IT YOU GUYS DID AN AMAZING JOB
"Gay Box" guy could totally play Davey in Newsies
Elder Smith is just like "how did I get here"
Awesome, love it!
I played te music and I just love it. I wish they would play it here in Saly Lake Cith, Utah, but I understand that THEY WILL NOT
great job
Brilliant!
The guys are great, but they and the number need a bigger stage.
And show jackets, they're always the cherry on top XD
Great job guys!

I’m 2 years late, and you’ve probably left the fandom by now but I love this interpretation.

Applause!
Very good :D
What group is this??? They're fantastic, I think I liked it more than the original.
Fun!
OMG
IT GOT SO GAY
THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL
Are you going down to Florida? I don't get it
Julie Roberts I’m going to... ORLANDOOOOOOO
4:32 Oh jesus fucking christ!
what da bois be doin-
Only one of the characters are gay in the original musical so I don't get why you are making then all so gay. Elder McKinly is gay, not the rest .

Thats up for interpretation
Just like Nazis and Catholics, Mormons are all secretly gay.
Not as good as the troupe I saw in Seattle.
I came expecting good theatre. This was bad.
