I just got a 07 yesterday with 440cc injectors on innovation mounts with j pipe, all mufflers deleted to straight pipe and catless. It sounds so damn amazing! I need that thing you mentioned to quite it down optionally on long trips.
@@ZenHarmonics Unfortunately that type s was involved in a bad accident however I picked up another type s with the insurance payout 100% stock. With this one I'm going to leave everything the way it is but remove the rear mufflers and weld in straight pipes with dual tips.

Had the same exact car but traded it in .. miss her so much . I had a resonator delete , mid muffler and back muffler delete sounded so good .. & the downshifts. Getting an infinity next for sure tho or Nissan

Everyone recommends the dynomax resonator, I had the mid and rear mufflers deleted for two weeks but it was too quiet for me so installing the dynomax tomorrow.
Tl family got homie I have the 2012 TL fwd still bare in mind to keep your resonator or just get the dynamax resonator always use resonator to keep the rasps to a nice growling amazing and mellow sweet 🎂🎂 🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🎂🎂🎂 your cold start amAzing .

@@samuelhajjar7664 It’s deffinetly significant. I don’t have any open mufflers at all so maybe a magnaflow on both sides would help catch some of the drone!
Just the 3 mufflers! Not so much rasp at all, obly thing is that there is drone at about 2,000 rpm. Might be beneficial to get some magnaflow mufflers on each side to see if it will catch any of it.
@@nathanpaaske4359 You will still hear the tone when getting up to speed even at a slow pace, but once you are cruising between 25-70 you won’t notice. The drone comes in at about 75-80, 2,000 rpm.
@@nathanpaaske4359 At 75-80 it’s fairly significant, most likely turn up the music a bit. I added a J-pipe and sound defining pads on the cabin under the seats and it only helped a little. If you are nervous about drone I would start with just the mid muffler and see how it sounds. If it’s too quiet, take off the back and put in some magnaflow mufflers to try and catch some of the drone.

It sounds way better than most of tomatoe can sounding TL's on here. And yes, don't get rid of the resonator (according to what YT'ers have done), they do drone. Unless you prefer that sound.
If it were me I would have just put two big stainless steel exhaust tips instead of the four small ones But that's just me Also these cars in manual transmissions is like finding a unicorn they're so hard to find and when you do find them they're either salvage title heavily modded or if they're completely stock extremely expensive But I want one so bad
I'm thinking of doing that over the summer! But that's very true as well. The car has been out for a while and there are a lot of mods people do! I was lucky enough to find one stock but was an automatic. Good luck!
I’m not sure the exhaust set up on the 2009 because it’s a different platform. However there is some drone when cruising on the highway but it’s not too bad under 75-80 miles an hour.
It is fairly significant, around 2000-2500 rpm is when it is worst. But cruising at 75 on the highway its not too bad. However, when going up a hill while cruising is when you can hear it most.
Not so farmiliar with California rules and regulations as I know they tend to be more strict when in come to exhausts for both noise and emissions. Hopefully some one sees this and will know!

@@lildudefromacrossthestreet4950 Definetly not too annoying due to no rasp, it’s just a nice tone. Only thing I will say is the drone can be somewhat significant. I would start with just the rears or mid, one or the other to see if you still get a nice tone but not too much volume.

I actually know someone who does exhausts so I only had to pay for the tips and the y-pipe. The hardest part is going to be making the curve from the y-pipe to the tips because it is such a sharp angle. My tips were $100 and the y-pipe was about $25 so I would predict it costs somewhere around $275-$300 with labor depending where you go. Hope that helps!
@@-kjlifestyle- it’ll be more raspy without a resonator, unless you like that, I have the rears off, mid off and the jpipe replaced without a cat. It’s still loud and pops here and there without the rasp.
I did it myself, however materials costed me around $130. If you were to have it done I would estimate somewhere around $200-$300 depending on the location. Hope this helps!

What was the Y-pipes used for?
Convert from 1 pipe to 2 going back to the dual exhaust

Swap the res with a dynomax res it won’t be raspy and it’ll sound even better

It has paddles and a tiptronic shifter! I wish it was manual as well but there were none for sale at the time.
