Great old song by two of my faves. Never saw this performance before though, and the intro about the panties was pretty funny. This was in the times (69-71) when Linda was just starting what turned out be her fabulous career. Awesome. And don't forget Don that Linda is part of TRIO (with Emmylou and Dolly) with a catalogue of terrific material. Telling Me Lies in one my favourites. Thanks again for dusting this off from the archives Don!
Hi Don, I had already stumbled on this video a little while ago. Just 2 legendary performers doing what they do. Which is to say be entertaining as he!!. Actually a sad song but vocals are so beautifully delivered that fact will slip right by. Story st the beginning was funny because knowing of the people involved you know every word is true. Anyway all feels right w/the world now, I've been feeling out-of-sorts and discombobulated ever since the Tuba song! LOL
Linda...sigh. Gorgeous pipes attached to an authentic unadorned gal. Here she is just getting started - a remarkable combination of strength and sorrow. Thanx for the post, sir.
That story sounds a little far fetched to me. 🤷🏻♀️I sincerely doubt she would show up without panties. Probably something from a jealous member of the rumor mill
Please do a reaction to aaron lewis "folded flag" for all my brothers and sisters that never made it home from the wars. Memorial day is very special for all of us veterans! God bless you!🇺🇸
My wife used to play this on her guitar and sing it to me while we were dating in the 1970’s. I won.

Along with After the Gold Rush
Either one just something by those 3 legendary women.
Ronstadt is so great, just listening to her in this song doing the back up parts is sensational.
I saw her one Christmas Eve in LA. 😀
Beautiful duet ... Thanks.

one of my favorite stories from country music is Linda and her panties LOL.
This is one of my saved favorites. Thank you for the song and reaction. By the way, Linda never did marry.
Love this one

And she never did.
I was smitten right from "Different Drum".
Pretty good 😊 I like it 💯
From what I've heard June had a good reason to worry about Linda. Let's just say Johnny had a wondering eye

Linda Ronstadt never really wanted to get married.
And she never did. ✌

Cal smith country bumpkin
@Denton Hunter I’m pretty sure I did that one about six months back, though not positive about the time frame.
So maybe Linda wanted to show off a little more than just her voice? I don't know. It was probably all made up.
Linda's singing career ended way too early. She developed Parkinson!!
Turns out it's not parkinson's but a different neurological disease that's similar symptom wise
@@19ashe86 thank you ashe86!! Learn something new everyday.. and I'm 74 LOL
Linda never did marry either.
