What a site. Seeing these 2 wood burning steam engines traverse the former D&RG Narrow Gauge line. Known formally as the San Juan Extension. And at the turn of the 19th century the D&RG never utilized wood burning steam engines. It was the late 1800s when steam engines were converted to coal fired. Who knows when these 2 golden relics will be seen under steam again. Taking a ride behind Eureka or Glenbrook would be a huge treat for me.
Great video from the Cumbres & Toltec narrow gauge event. Where all the fantastic narrow gauge locomotives were in use. It is my favorite narrow gauge railroad in Colorado and New Mexico. Thank you for the video and your great explanation of this event. Many greetings from Germany

I love these Nevada native 1875 built wood burning steam locomotives. And I have F scale models of them from Bachmann.
