@@HookLineandKyleP ya buddy I use them everywhere, anytime, anyplace, just got back from bobcaygeon fishing on a river every cast hit a small mouth, where abouts are you ? East or west of brantford?
Why is it that you were casting downstream most of the time? I'm pretty new to river fishing and fish the Thames River here in London. I've been catching all my fish casting 45 degrees upstream in those current seams. I've noticed the eddies hold fish, but they tend to be the smaller ones. The bigger ones seem to hold tight behind big rocks/structure right in or on the edge of the fastest moving current. I put on a heavy enough jig head/weight to feel bottom contact and pop my rod tip up as it drifts down to prevent it from snagging. I'd love to get more advice though, this is the first year I've started to take river fishing seriously. You were catching them in places I wasn't even fishing such as where you caught that last good one.
The best advice is keep doing what your doing. It's working from what I am reading. I usually cast 15 degrees upstream, have a slow but steady retrieve. The reason why I am casting down stream is because their is a lot of snags where I fish, plus I feel like I can present the bait better.
Nice. That last fish was beautiful. Love to see the nice dark stripes on a smallie. Thanks for the video.
Thanks Paul. The Dark lines are awesome to see and makes them unique. You're welcome for the video
Beauty river, I really need to fish there.
Yes you should. It is a great river
Awesome smallie, great tips. Great video again brother.
I will be putting more videos out on Smallmouth Bass fishing. River fishing is a challenge. I am glad you liked it.

Oh nice, that would be sweet! How far of a drive are we talking?
@@HookLineandKyleP it's between North Bay and tamagami
"I like a little curve in my jig", that's what she said
Hehe yes she does say that lol
Great video, but be a little kinder to the fish you’re catching and releasing
