That song is weird for me. I wouldn't list it as my absolute favorite (I'd say maybe number 5?), but it's the song that whenever I hear it causes me to pull out the AC/DC again after a break from listening.

I've been listening to Flick of the Switch nonstop the last few months and I think it's their most underrated album. Especially the title track, Guns for Hire, and Bedlam in Belgium. Burnin' Alive off of Ballbreaker is very underrated. There all kick ass! 🤘

My favourite AC/DC song is "Let me put my love into you". Although I prefer the Bon era those first three records with Brian plus Razor's Edge are also damn special. Coincidentally it's the only song they have yet to play in a live setting, but that groove... Kind of reminds me of Iron Maiden Revelations harmonically, it's different but the resemblance is there. Darkthrone payed hommage to that riff on their 2019 album Oldstar.

I contend that Flick of the Switch is arguably a better album song-for-song than For Those About to Rock. The anthemic title song in FTATR seems to push that album high in fans' eyes, but IMHO after the first 3 songs (Title track, Put The Finger On You, and Let's Get It Up*) that album feels like it bogs down with filler song after filler song; after the first 3 songs, I usually wind up moving on to something else except for MAYBE Evil Walks and C.O.D., and that depends on my mood at the time. I have never skipped any song on Flick Of The Switch; all of them are bangers (particularly the underrated "Landslide") and I think had the album had some of that Mutt Lange sheen on it instead of the stripped down sound the Young brothers went for, it would be held in higher esteem than it is, certainly by critics. * Everyone always seems to slag on "Let's Get It Up" because of the lyrics and cheesy chorus, and the band did NO favors to themselves playing it soooooooo slow on the album; if you watch the performance(s) of that song from the Landover MD concerts, the band speeds it up and it is ONE ROCKING SONG.

How good does Bon's voice sound with some simple studio magic double tracking?!?! A studio trick commonly used since the mid '60s. Like an analog version of Autotune. How far would Bon's "new voice" have taken ACDC? Tragically, we'll never know. Honorable mention, listen to Bon tearing his throat up on the live versions of "High Voltage" and "Riff Raff".

Two AC/DC tracks that no one ever mentions that are in my top ten - "Next To The Moon" and "Shot of Love". Love "Touch Too Much" as well, very underrated. The breakdown in TTM and backing vocals are just brilliant.

I've been listening to Flick of the Switch nonstop the last few months and I think it's their most underrated album. Especially the title track, Guns for Hire, and Bedlam in Belgium. Burnin' Alive off of Ballbreaker is very underrated. There all kick ass! 🤘

My favourite AC/DC song is "Let me put my love into you". Although I prefer the Bon era those first three records with Brian plus Razor's Edge are also damn special. Coincidentally it's the only song they have yet to play in a live setting, but that groove... Kind of reminds me of Iron Maiden Revelations harmonically, it's different but the resemblance is there. Darkthrone payed hommage to that riff on their 2019 album Oldstar.

A Top 10 AC/DC is a tough thing to do and I respect your choices. But from Those about to rock.. my choice is Put The Finger On You. And From Back in Black the song that doesn't get enough love is Shake A Leg.
Personally AC/DC are a favorite of mine, top five band of all time in my books (shared in that top 5 is Metallica, Pantera, Aerosmith and Guns N' Roses), I love both Bon and Brian's respective eras equally as I think they both were phenomenal songwriters, singers and frontmen! With that said, this would be my top ten.

I contend that Flick of the Switch is arguably a better album song-for-song than For Those About to Rock.
The anthemic title song in FTATR seems to push that album high in fans' eyes, but IMHO after the first 3 songs (Title track, Put The Finger On You, and Let's Get It Up*) that album feels like it bogs down with filler song after filler song; after the first 3 songs, I usually wind up moving on to something else except for MAYBE Evil Walks and C.O.D., and that depends on my mood at the time.
I have never skipped any song on Flick Of The Switch; all of them are bangers (particularly the underrated "Landslide") and I think had the album had some of that Mutt Lange sheen on it instead of the stripped down sound the Young brothers went for, it would be held in higher esteem than it is, certainly by critics.
* Everyone always seems to slag on "Let's Get It Up" because of the lyrics and cheesy chorus, and the band did NO favors to themselves playing it soooooooo slow on the album; if you watch the performance(s) of that song from the Landover MD concerts, the band speeds it up and it is ONE ROCKING SONG.
Great review man, it’s amazing what AC/DC achieved, absolute brilliance with bon Scott and then to go through losing bon and having a totally different lead to then making more great music is incredible!

Shoot to thrill, good choice. Also could've just said "Anything Bon sang on; #1", lol. How about Bon's voice on "Girls Got Rhythm" ? Or "Touch Too Much"? HOLY CRAP!! How good does Bon's voice sound with some simple studio magic double tracking?!?! A studio trick commonly used since the mid '60s. Like an analog version of Autotune. How far would Bon's "new voice" have taken ACDC? Tragically, we'll never know. Honorable mention, listen to Bon tearing his throat up on the live versions of "High Voltage" and "Riff Raff".
