Fly on the Wall was a wonderful album with adjoining video. The whole album was awesome!!! Fly on the wall, Playing with girls, Sink the pink, Stranger, Shake your Foundations---Damn Good Tunes!!!
I think this album would rank higher if the production had not been so awful - Brian Johnson sounds like Noddy Holder singing in your neighbour’s outhouse and the drums don’t sound great either. As it is I’m surprised it did as well as it did.
Man oh man, I was just thinking the other day when or if you would include a list covering AC/DC... Awesome job!!! ... BTW, "Flick of the Switch" is one of my favorites from the early Brian Johnson years.

Most definitely! The Cult was my first love rock-wise. When Electric came out, that changed me from mid-80s Pop music to rock. Plastic fantastic lobster telephone (someone must have been real high to come up with those lyrics - lol)
They replaced mighty Zeppelin as my fave with that album. Mostly because it took me from being a fan of a band that had already broken up to an up an comer. They haven’t let me down since.

Hi there it was nice to hear your ranking of all the AC/DC albums! I'm a lifelong AC/DC and I've been listening to them for 40 years. I think I pretty much agree with your ranking....wow. Thanks for the video Pete!
Great show as usual Pete. Such a great band that never disappoints. My ranking of their catalog could vary on any given day but not a bad album in their discography including their latest (Power Up) that came out after this show.
Oooohhh, it's so sweet seeing many people can't accept the fact that someone with a great music taste like Pete is a huge Kiss fan! Gooo Pete! And do whatever Kiss ranking you like. Maybe makeup studio and live albums? And I really can't wait to see video with Miles Davis material!!!!
New to the channel. Your reviews are great! You get to the point and you respect everyone’s opinions as you go. Keep it up and know there’s lots of us who love the channel. Ride on.
Just discovered your channel about a month ago and really enjoy Ranking the Albums segment. Being in my mid 50's it is nice to see someone who has the same passion for music. I grew up in upstate NY in the Albany area listing to WPYX 106. I loved the way the DJ's used to put an album on and drop the needle any place they wanted and you got to hear the deeper tracks...that's what turned me onto albums instead of buying just singles. I miss those days. Now I get my deeper tracks from UA-cam. Times change..but we still keep rockin!!!
Hey Pete. Were you as happy as my friends and I when we first picked up Back in Black? We were not sure if they could go on without Bon, but they took it to the house and we were so happy for the band and knew Brian could keep em going forward!
Love these lists Pete! Really good thought provoking stuff that has made me revisit some artist catalogs again and found stuff I missed. For AC/DC I like the order but would have ranked Highway #1 and Let There Be Rock #2. Not sure if you have ever done a Van Halen one and I missed it but would love to see that. Rock on 🤘🤘🤘
Summer of 1977 I’m 9 years old growing up on the west side of San Antonio Tx n my neighbors Joe n Roy in their early teens.. I’m in their room looking thru their album collection n I see the album cover of Let There Be Rock and I recall saying AC/DC.. in awe of the album cover they looked over at me n told me play it.. I put the needle on Let There Be Rock and instantly became one of their biggest fans...
Bill H thx my sister n my other neighbor, Reymundo from across the street were Judas Priest fanatics, my younger brother Eddie was u guessed it Maiden fan...Moses from down the street was big on Sabbath, my brother from another mother Mike was Van Halen, my best friend Martin was into Pink Floyd and his brother was into Scorpions.. My sister n I managed to get to the third row of AC/DC’s Flick of the Switch tour at the old Hemisphere Arena when Angus came out into the crowd a roadie knocked my sister into the ground. As I checked on her to see if she was ok, she was so excited because she had somehow managed to grab Angus by his shoe and was trying to take off for a souvenir and that’s why the roadie pushed her to the ground LOL..,that’s her brush with fame 😂😂
1. "Powerage" 2. "Back in Black" then in any order, the rest of Bon Scott era and starting with "For Those About To Rock" and then the rest of their albums.
Thank god powerage is finally getting the love it deserves. I feel that for most hardcore AC/DC fans Powerage is usually in the top 2-3. For me, it’s their best.
well I been a AC/DC Fan since the late 70's when I seen them live & they back up Kiss & man they were unbelievable they were 5 Aussie banging away on their instruments & Bon & Angus were doing their thing on stage & off stage & the way Bon sang like it was his last breath & how he was so full of Rock & Roll energy I still say that was my favourite rock & roll gig of all time & I seen a lot of rock & roll gigs in my time being in my early 50s u can imagine how many rock & roll gigs I been to I have to be honest that the Bon Scott records are all my favourite records but not to take away from Brian Johnson records they are all really great records but if I had to choose I would of loved would it be like if Bon was still alive & made those records that Brian made I think I would sell my soul just to hear those records song by Bon I miss Bon & I hope he is in Rock & Roll Heaven were ever he is!!!

Pretty close to my list Pete. Heavy on the Bon Scott albums at the top. I like Highway To Hell number one followed closely by Powerage with its underrated tracks like Riff Raff!
Pete, I am new to your channel and have to say, I am deeply impressed with both your collection and broad knowledge of music. Something you may not be aware of, in Australia in the late 70s and through to the 80s, Australia had a treally vibrant live band pub rock culture, this is the environment that AC/DC was born out of. Bands had plenty of work and usually worked 7 nights a week. It was a really competitive environment so if you were not good, you didn't last very long. Other bands that you may be interested in that were also born in this environment are bands like The Angels, The Saints, Midnight Oil and Cold Chisel, just to mention a few. It was a really exciting time for music. I suggest you listen to Midnight Oils first two Albums, Midnight Oil '78 and Head Injuries '79 (especially Head Injuries). They were about the best pub rock band I have ever seen, their live shows are legendary. Keep up the good work.
There is only ONE tune that makes me SNARL on playback during air guitar 🎸 "SIN CITY" "So spin that wheel, cut that pack And roll those loaded dice Bring on the dancing girls And put the champagne on ice I'm goin' in...
Kickass video, Pete! AC/DC has always been one of my favourite bands. Here's my top 5 albums from these guys: 1. Highway to Hell 2. Back in Black 3. Powerage 4. High Voltage 5. For Those About to Rock
I am not a big fan, but personally I love Highway To Hell front to back and there is a large separation between that and the rest of their catalog. Not to say the rest of their catalog isn't good, but Highway to Hell is their evergreen record to me. Pete, any chance you could do a Saxon ranking sometime? I am starting to get into their catalog more this year but I am bouncing all over the place with their records, tough to choose!

I don't see the attraction of Highway to Hell (good production - good energy - title track is a good anthem) 1 Powerage 2. High Voltage 3. Jailbreak 4. Back in Black 5. Dirty Deeds 6. Let there be Rock 7. Highway to Hell 8. For Those About to Rock 9.Flick of the Switch 10. Fly on the Wall
@@zundap100 The Razors Edge has a wonderful energy to it, but is unfortunately lacking in the songwriting department aside from a few obvious highlights.

@@djentyman4002 I did go deeper originally,.. Then they released 'Highway to hell' and 'Back in black'.. I'm 54, it all started with 'Let there be rock' in 1977 for me.
Jon Shaw that’s a great start
Fly On The Wall is imho criminally underrated. My favorite
Totally! "Playing with Girls" is the shit!
Fly on the Wall was a wonderful album with adjoining video. The whole album was awesome!!! Fly on the wall, Playing with girls, Sink the pink, Stranger, Shake your Foundations---Damn Good Tunes!!!
In my top 5 for this band.
I think this album would rank higher if the production had not been so awful - Brian Johnson sounds like Noddy Holder singing in your neighbour’s outhouse and the drums don’t sound great either. As it is I’m surprised it did as well as it did.
Alco Power fly on the wall isn’t that great compared to other albums.
amazing work, Pete! and congrats on 25k subs... and counting!
Man oh man, I was just thinking the other day when or if you would include a list covering AC/DC... Awesome job!!! ... BTW, "Flick of the Switch" is one of my favorites from the early Brian Johnson years.
For me Powerage has always been my favourite, followed by Highway To Hell, Back In Black, Let There Be Rock, The Oz version of T.N.T (always preferred the Bon era) and that's no discredit to Brian (love the fella). I agree Stiff Upper Lip is dull - though I love the last track Give It Up.
Hey Pete! How about The Cult? They're my favorite band and they are still making albums! Make my day.
Another great video. Love your channel Mr. Pardo.
Thanks Pete.
You got me back to listening to all my music collections.
I was at the Back in Black concert in Edmonton, Alberta, but all my favourite songs are from the earlier albums.
Let there be rock introduced me to this band. We all have our favorites but this is mine.
Hugs from Brasil 🇧🇷!
Hi there it was nice to hear your ranking of all the AC/DC albums! I'm a lifelong AC/DC and I've been listening to them for 40 years. I think I pretty much agree with your ranking....wow. Thanks for the video Pete!
Great stuff, Pete...looking forward to the jeff young show, thanks
Flick of the Switch = AC/DC's best Brian Johnson-era album. Heavy as hell grooves with memorable choruses and great guitar solos.
"What's next to the moon" on Powerage has been consistently my favorite AcDC song
I recently just heard that song and it's SOOO good
So catchy man love that song
Always enjoy your ranking videos & I agree with you, I think the mood you are in, can definitely affect how you feel about albums differently!!🤘🏻
Only makeup years. Don't want 80s and 90s crap especially without Ace.
Powerage has always been my favorite. Very underrated and to me had a unique sound from all the other bon Scott albums, total masterpiece!
New to the channel. Your reviews are great! You get to the point and you respect everyone’s opinions as you go. Keep it up and know there’s lots of us who love the channel. Ride on.
Hi Pete. Great review. Here's a hi from Brazil.
Ball Breaker’s title track is very powerful. I love it when it’s loud. Also, the live version is quite nice. I saw the tour and it was so cool.
The live version on no bull is crankin and heavy.
Great ranking, next you should do Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Kiss, and Van Halen
Great list. I enjoy your discussion. Looking forward to seeing Jeff Young. Also looking forward to your Cheap Trick list.
Well stated. We all agree
Hey Pete. Were you as happy as my friends and I when we first picked up Back in Black? We were not sure if they could go on without Bon, but they took it to the house and we were so happy for the band and knew Brian could keep em going forward!
Love Let There Be Rock!! So raw yet so fat, warm and tubey.
Great story! Love that!
That's how it happens..drop the needle and watch yourself fall in love...
1. "Powerage"
2. "Back in Black"
then in any order, the rest of Bon Scott era and starting with "For Those About To Rock" and then the rest of their albums.
You nailed it, in the length of a tweet!
Great video Pete. They are in my top 3 bands of all time. Great number 1 in Let There Be Rock. My personal favourite is probably still Back In Black.
Once again, x- lent selection, Pete. Veeeery happy to hear thta you´re going to cover Cheap Trick´s Top 10 Songs YEAAAH! My favourite AC/DC´s album is Highway to Hell followed real closely by Back In Black (what a comeback!) Cheers from Rio/ Brazil - André
i always thought powerage was pronounced power age and not poweridge? its actually my number 1 ac/dc album however its pronounced
Same! But then I read an interview with Bon where he says it's pronounced 'poweridge'...regardless, it's the greatest album!
@@gideonsugarman39 i actaully saw an interview with angus talking about the album and he said it as power age so i guess me and u are right lol
Potato potahto.
@@yowodup6094 not really. your assessment is words spoken differently, but meaning the same. powerage and poweridge have different meanings
Pretty close to my list Pete. Heavy on the Bon Scott albums at the top. I like Highway To Hell number one followed closely by Powerage with its underrated tracks like Riff Raff!
Riff Raff - best song in the world. Ever!
I love your album ranking videos. 👍🏻
My favorite ones in no particular order: High Voltage; Back in Black; Highway to Hell; Razor's Edge.
"Let there be Rock!"
Your top five I own and love...
All I really need.
Killer deep tracks on those records 🤘🍺🎶
My fav is Flick of the Switch!!!! Pure hard rock!!!
Let there be lists!!
There is only ONE tune that makes me SNARL on playback during air guitar 🎸
"SIN CITY"
"So spin that wheel, cut that pack
And roll those loaded dice
Bring on the dancing girls
And put the champagne on ice
I'm goin' in...
Kickass video, Pete! AC/DC has always been one of my favourite bands. Here's my top 5 albums from these guys:
1. Highway to Hell
2. Back in Black
3. Powerage
4. High Voltage
5. For Those About to Rock
Thanks Pete I’ve been hanging out for you to rank the AC/DC records 🤘🏻
Any Bon Scott is my favorite. Love ACDC but that Dude could sing.
Vinegar voice was powerful and epic
I am not a big fan, but personally I love Highway To Hell front to back and there is a large separation between that and the rest of their catalog. Not to say the rest of their catalog isn't good, but Highway to Hell is their evergreen record to me.
Pete, any chance you could do a Saxon ranking sometime? I am starting to get into their catalog more this year but I am bouncing all over the place with their records, tough to choose!
Mike N if your not a big fan! You might like them more from their Australian releases they are killer albums.
Great list
Yessss! I've been waiting for this.
Both Powerage and Fly On The Wall are criminally underrated
Where do you get these ratings from?
@@gogoyubari366 it’s my personal opinion just like Pete’s rankings are his personal opinion
Ah, been waiting for this one! My favorite band. Doing the Aussie records:
16. Rock or Bust
15. Blow Up Your Video
14. The Razors Edge
13. High Voltage
12. Black Ice
11. Ballbreaker
10. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
9. Stiff Upper Lip
8. Flick of the Switch
7. Fly on the Wall
6. For Those About to Rock
5. T.N.T.
4. Powerage
3. Back in Black
2. Let There Be Rock
1. Highway to Hell
Very good, solid list
I like Black Ice so much I would put it in my top ten and I like Flick of the Switch more than Fly on the Wall but I agree with most of this.
I don't see the attraction of Highway to Hell (good production - good energy - title track is a good anthem)
1 Powerage
2. High Voltage
3. Jailbreak
4. Back in Black
5. Dirty Deeds
6. Let there be Rock
7. Highway to Hell
8. For Those About to Rock
9.Flick of the Switch
10. Fly on the Wall
14. The Razors Edge? This is much better album than nr.14, I think it is nr 9.
@@zundap100 The Razors Edge has a wonderful energy to it, but is unfortunately lacking in the songwriting department aside from a few obvious highlights.
great video!! thx
Great ranking of a great band.
One of my favorite bands. I personally prefer the Brian Johnson era honestly, but respect and love Bon for the legend he is. AC/DC represents the true spirit of Rock n Roll.
Least to best for me (going by the international version for the early Bon Scott records):
Razor's Edge
Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
Stiff Upper Lip
Back in Black
Ballbreaker
High Voltage
Rock or Bust
Let There Be Rock
Powerage
For Those About to Rock
Black Ice
Highway to Hell
Blow Up Your Video
Flick of the Switch
Fly on the Wall
Yes, Fly on the Wall is my favorite. It gets a lot of shit and I don't know why. To me it's a kick ass record with a lot of balls.
Playing With Girls is one of my favorites. Lots of good stuff on that album. Was to not played enough!
Maybe it's not their best album but "For Those about to rock" got some of their best hits ever.
Totally agree with you on the ranking order. Keep up the good work.
Spot on bro love ur passion respect Hua!!!!!
Pete, some suggestions for the 'ranking' show: Carcass, Cathedral, Voivod, Accept, Judas Priest, Mercyful Fate, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Motörhead, Ozzy, Ramones, Van Der Graaf Generator
He did Led Zepplin already :)
@@TheTonyahawk Thanks for the heads up. It's so many bands that I suspect I might have chosen some he already did.
Saxon too
@@renzocarlosarroyogarnica5045 I didn't mention Saxon 'cos I thought he had ranked 'em, already! Should've switched 'Zep' for Saxon. :)
Jefferson Camargo: Hi. PETE - like 2 weeks ago ? Did Lynyrd Skynyrd. Pretty recently
Malcolm was still alive when Rock Or Bust came out, he just didn't play on it.
No , he isn't. Check wikipedia info

Great video Pete, really enjoyed it. I was pretty much with you all the way though would have put Flick of the Switch higher, and your number three choice would have been my number one. For my money, the best AC/DC albums are the ones that have Phil Rudd on drums.

The Bon Scott records blow the Brians away
I played Bass in an Ac/DC Band for years
“Hell Ain’t a Bad Place to Be” is my favorite tune. It has made it up to the third song in their setlist. Dating a woman who is taking your very soul.....changing who you are....and not for the better. The only way it will end is when she leaves you.
I know exactly what Bon meant when he wrote this song.
Love the song ! 😎
I agree buddy, I jammed that song many times in my 1976 Tranz Am. Nothing like raw Bon Scott blues!
As far as the bands I'm familiar with to very familiar with (maybe even an authority on a few) your picks have been pretty close to mine but in almost all of them there's a few albums I've never even heard of which has been humbling lol There's also been quite a few bands you've talked about I've never heard of lol I thought I knew more about the scene. Humbling and well worth it for the education.
You have nailed it again !
Let There Be Rock is the best AC/DC album ever !!
Saw them on the 'Powerage' tour, front row, leaning on the stage.
One of the best live gigs I have ever seen.
Thanks again for a great review !
1. Powerage
2. Let there be rock
3. Highway to Hell
4. High Voltage
5. Dirty Deeds
6. Back in Black
That's about it for me. Bon over Brian all day.
M K that's fine but I hope you at least gave others a listen. So many past fans I know haven't.
Ballbreaker and Stiff Upper Lip albums where a return to form IMO.
@@drewjeers3301 I had For those about to rock, Flick of the switch, and a few others but moved on after a while. I'll give the ones you mentioned another listen.
I absolutely LOVE "Shot Down in Flames." Hey Pete, Where is Nugent? We NEED Ted Nugent!
Nice Video as always! Would you consider doing worst to best of Alan parsons project? Would be interesting to see you rank those albums! Keep up the good work. Cheers from an old school music lover from sweden!
Excellent ranking Pete. I've been waiting for AC/DC on this series for a long while! For me, Back in Black would be top on most days of the week, it's such an excellent album. Let There Be Rock is a very close second, the title track and Whole Lotta Rosie are absolute killer. As you mention, there isn't a single bad AC/DC album. Nice to see For Those About To Rock getting some recognition, a great album but overshadowed by its predecessor.
