DGD is, has been, and most likely will always be my all time favorite band. The level or brilliance and musicianship that every member of this collective puts out is just simply unmatched by any other band. They’re just in an entirely different tier. When you’re dealing with this level of incredibly creative and unique art, there’s just not time for internet drama. All that stuff pales in comparison to the absolute SHINING GEM that is this band’s music. I count myself beyond lucky to be alive in the same era that this band exists in.

I'll always be happy to be a DGD listener since day 1. Their First EP and I tuned in. Hooked ever since. All of the style changes and lineup changes have only created more amazing music every time. They never fail to amaze me.

Now that DGD is going to be revealing a new album soon, I wanted to come back here and remark on how I feel Ember is the shining gem of this album and era of the band, every member is firing on all cylinders and not a single second is wasted, I honestly think it’s one of the best they’ve ever written
Every song on this album is absolutely magical. I love every second of it.
Such a heartfelt song. This album is really getting me through one of the hardest years of my life 🙏❤️

All of us that have been a fan from the very beginning KNOW this is the very last band you should ever count out as over or done. They have evolved thorough many transitions and tribulations. Still making beautiful music that I will listen to for years to come if not the rest of my life.

My interpretation of the lyrics is someone dealing with depression. His old (happy) self is trying to convince his depressed self that there is a light at the end this tunnel. My favorite off the album for sure.

DGD really need to know how beautiful verses like 0:35 and 2:15 are. Great use of bass and an absolute angelic filter on the guitars. It really is a treat to the ears.
