Jon is the most consistent live screamer I've ever seen. No cracks, same tone, all awesome.
It is insanely impressive. I've only just started seriously trying to train my voice as a screamer; I make goofy faces, crack more than occasionally, or just can't quite hit the pitch I'm going for, but Jon makes it look so fucking effortless and sound so good.
Fuckin' Jon Mess, man.

Usually screaming vocalist get worse over the years. Jon started terrible but is a damn beast now.

He definitely wasn’t terrible back then, just had a very raw and unpolished scream.

Aw poor Tilian's voice is all worn out from killing it every day on warped tour:( Wish he had more time to rest his vocals before this performance to show the true DGD but it was still an AMAZING performance! The boys cleaned up real nice too haha fuckin love this song, summertime gladness would've been a really good one to play also. Thank you for posting so quick though!!!

I actually saw them at warped like 3 days ago and they sounded perfect. This performance does not do them any justice. The sound mixing is horrendous.
He's just been working his voice so hard at warped tour this year I guess

Poor Tilian, you can tell his voice is strained from being on Warped Tour. He still did an incredible job though, and so did the rest of the band. Everyone was on point. How they didn't win best live band is beyond me ://
They probably didn't win because they lack any kind of entertaining stage presence. I love this band but they're boring to watch. At least they sound fantastic live.
Brutalious Seeeeeriously! I don't get when people say they are good live. They sound good 90% of the time but they're boring as all sin. Some of their Jonny era shows were tight and the reunion shows were pretty hiNRG but usually it's very meh.
Jason LovesABR I agree!! But there are people who can and they usually don't lol. I've never actually seen them on person though so maybe I'm missing that spark.
DGD is kind of those bands you go to see purely for the music. Though there is still plenty of bands that more entertaining than FIR and still have a consistently good live sound, like Avatar and Nothing More for example.

When the preformed this song at warped the day before in MD when I saw them it was amazing. Their live performances are incredible and I'm really upset about them not winning best live band. I mean hearing Will play that damn guitar live is amazing and Jon sound's just like the record every time Tillian has really became a great live performer so happy to see these guys putting themselves out there more these days

this wasn't how they usually perform. tilian usually moves and grooves much more than this, also they don't move around as much as others bands to make it sound better
TheExonan I saw them at warped tour and I was nervous that they would sound bad but they sounded amazing and their performance was on point

Oh, and FYI, they didn't know what song they were supposed to play until right beforehand. Props to such a talented band and screw anyone who thought FIR deserved Best Live Band over them. I never expect anyone good to win anything at the APMA's, but they still disappoint each year.

Nah Best live band should of gone to Nothing More. Those guys are easily one of the most creative bands , check out their Scorpion Tail.
Was very happy to see Silent Planet win "Best Underground Band" though, so at least they got one thing right.

They played here in Fort Wayne,In in the last week and the whole band didn’t miss a beat. Both Tilian and John were pitch perfect on vocals.

I'm seeing them live for the first time in December, and I really hope Tilian (and Jon, too) is taking care of his voice. You can tell it sounds strained. They've been touring almost constantly since June, and it's awesome that he can still perform like this, but I've heard him sound better than this and I hope he's not pushing himself too hard
