I am in a loss for words. This album feels big and not because of the length. Every song stands out and is structurally interesting, not to mention how great Jon, Tilian and Andrew sound together. Instrumentally it's also absolutely fantastic.
The secret sauce is the constant changing of guitar tones that have solid range
It's good, but kind of feeling the absence of a heavier track. Something like Demo Team, Philosopher King, Bloodsucker, Say Hi
It’s hard not to obsess over the vocals on this album, but I’d also like to wager that the guitar work on this release pretty much trumps anything else in the DGD catalogue, aside from Mothership, which this record easily rivals, and honestly kind of feels like a counterpart to such

I felt that
I KNOW this song is about to be slept on so hard but it's easily the best on the whole album.
It is instant release. But Polka Dot Dobbins makes a strong contention.
Edit: to be fair- "Talkin' heads... Fuck the feds..." and "DATDATDATDATDAT DAT DONE." are some of the most fire DGD lines in a long time.

It’s rare this far into a band’s career to release, what I believe to be, their magnum opus. This album is huge, but never overstays it’s welcome.
I can think of very few bands where I enjoy their later work over their early work and DGD is top of the list

People love to use the term "elevated" everytime a new member is added or a new album drops, but it just makes me think people forgot what they used to sound like lol all the best songs on thos album, including this one, sound like Acceptance Speech and Instant Gratification, coincidentally their two most slept on Tillian albums
