Bobcat Kittens' Cutest Moments

- On Wednesday, July 19, Greenwood received communications from Louisville Animal Control about five Bobcat babies hanging around a backyard for several days. A lactating female Bobcat was found deceased on the road nearby, presumably struck and killed by a vehicle. Animal Control Officer Kenney soon realized these kittens had been orphaned. After putting out traps to catch the litter, one was caught thanks to efforts from Officer Kenney and the Louisville homeowner.
On July 20, another two young females were found in the traps and reunited with their sister at Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.
On July 21, a fourth Bobcat kitten was caught, but not by trap. A Louisville citizen noticed the baby in the tree, clinging to the bark and shaking. She was likely beginning to weaken after days without her mother. A whole community of folks rallied together to help this young one. TLC Tree Expert and Boulder County Animal Protection Officers were able to coax the kitten out of the tree.
On July 26, the final Bobcat was captured by Officer Kenney of Louisville Animal Control. The final chapter of Greenwood’s role in the rescue of the orphaned bobcat kittens came to an end when they were transferred to a licensed rehabilitator that specializes in carnivores. We are thrilled that they are going to a facility with a brand new, large carnivore enclosure specifically for raising Bobcats through the winter.
The quartet stayed at our facility for over a week, eating, playing, and napping. They received care from our Animal Care Team and vets, which included vaccinations, deworming, medications, and veterinary check-ups. We have high hopes that they will return to their natural habitat in spring of 2024.
The paws. Omg the paws.....thanks for saving them
what a great outcome for most of these kittens - so glad to see them still being fierce and wild.
Awww, I love them and their "tiny but fierce" attitudes. So glad tat Greenwood was able to support them and get the four surviving kittens to a rehabilitator that can get them the rest of the way.
I hope they all have long and wonderful lives.

Yes, I agree.
They're sooo cuuute! Just wish I could've heard their own sounds instead of the music!😻
Couldn’t agree more 😻
Sorry! A lot of the footage was taken with old trail cams that don't have audio capabilities.
Who added the crappy super loud music you ruined the video
You're welcome to turn it down :)
@@GreenwoodWildlife I was watching your video with some friends they all commented on the music and how they all commented how they hate videos with weird loud music in the videos and it seems like practically every video there has to be a music DJ involved
At least it's generic pleasant enough piano music, and not eeky whiney autotune crap pop. That's something!
@@markdi2 Sorry! A lot of the footage was taken with old trail cams that don't have audio capabilities.
Their little meows would’ve been cuter.
Sorry, I don’t want to be mean, but less is more, a lot more.
I would love to hear the cats.
Sorry! A lot of the footage was taken with old trail cams that don't have audio capabilities.
I would much rather hear the kitten Meowing than this poor strange music selection.

@@GreenwoodWildlife The issue is with the odd music selection.
@@jmseipp Oh no! What sound would you prefer?
@@GreenwoodWildlife Something less annoying. Ck the artist who provides many of the songs here on youtube. I forgot his name but do a search for ‘Fresh Fallen Snow.’ And then have a listen to his other works. He’s really food! Nice music!
