This man is a cat whispering master! Bless you for being able to be so patient with challenging felines. I don’t know how you do it, but that’s why you are the professional around here!
you did a great job and the right thing. I agree with your point on sedation. There is no need for sedation if its a behavioral problem (assuming the animal doesn’t have PTSD). The protective gloves are a MUST for retraining purposes because they give us the confidence to take control of the situation and the animal. My current dog I had adopted from an animal shelter. She had very severe toy, shelter, and food protection behaviors. I got bitten over 20 times, which broke my skin and bled. I couldn’t control her properly until I got the gloves. Any time she showed aggression when I was near what she was protecting, I would basically lift her up and away from the object. You do this long enough and they stop their aggression because they realize that it is pointless for them be aggressive if they don’t get what they want.
You never know why the cat act like this, how many times may it have been hurt by local kids or the neighborhood people tried to harm her, only the cat knows
That's exactly what I was thinking. If this isn't a feral cat, then it has been tormented by someone to the point where its first instinct is to attack a person. I feel bad for this cat. People can be so cruel.
Not necessarily . Animals haves different temperaments from each other . Some are chill and some are just a b*tch . But like humans the b*tch attitude can be corrected with a stern hand .
@@redwards3457 We had a cat, who was this feral since kittenhood. She never knew other people before. She was the kitten of my grandmother's cat and born in her attic. I think you handled the cat great! But what I don't understand is, why the cat had to be bathed? Cats usually take good care of themselves. Some elderly or overweight cats need help, 'cause they can't reach everywhere. Or when they got in touch with dangerous substances, like motor oil or something like that - then they need a bath. But this cat looked healthy and the fur was in good shape, so why did you bathe it? Customers wish I guess...🤷♀️

The “worst” thing we ever did to him was fake spray water on him when he would bite our ankles 😂 We still love him the way he is ❤
Over the years I've had a few shelter cats and a stray in care. One of them was categorized to stay in the shelter because she was too difficult to handle. I took her in and trained her like the others. At first she hit you while you were just passing her even with claws out. I realized that was the way she learned how to handle humans. She may learned that humans are so stupid that they don't understand any warnings if they cross a line, so she thought she has to hit. It took a while to show her that this is not neccessary here. That we respect her and her will. And after a bond was build I trained her to tolerate stuff she didn't like, usually step by step with supporting words and some snack if she stayed calm. After a year I could do everything with her, even cut her front claws a bit (she wasn't able to take care of them alone because of an old fracture she had when she came in the shelter). I was able to treat wounds or an age pimple. That even hurt, but she stayed totally relaxed, it wasn't even neccessary to hold her in place. With love, respect and some time it is possible to help such a cat.

Welp, you will have critics on how you did things, but at the end that’s why you are the professional and they are not. In my opinion you stood your ground, you did your job professionally and lots of respect for taking on such a tough customer. At the end if you didn’t love the critters, you wouldn’t do what you do. Good job. 👏
Respectfully, I think your cleaning method for this poor cat was extremely excessive, rough, and beyond a normal quick bath and dry. Literally pinning him down to clip his nails, holding him up in the air and hosing him with the water, and then blowing the hot air and again holding him up like a stuffed animal. No wonder he isn't happy.
@@Thecalmcatgroomer It means my observations of your cleaning methods is not intended to be rude just honest. It seems like a cat like this should probably have like a quick rinse and dry and then be done.... reward him with something, and then from there, build up a tolerance for the grooming.
You dont sedate you educate!!! Thank you for letting us be known. So many people want to sedate their cats to get groomed and to go fly on a plane. So many people get cats and then they don't get into practice of trimming their kittens nails so that they get used to having their nails clipped. I do this with all the cats that I get I start the most kittens getting used to being in my lap and allowing me to touch the pause. Even if I'm not clipping their paws I let them get used to me handling their pause. When they bite I act like it hurts really bad and I start crying. Or if the car doesn't work I just meow at them or do a slight hissing noise. Most of the time cats just don't want you to touch the paws. Same thing with bathing them start them as kittens so it's not a shock tonthem when they are older.👍🏾😸

The blower made his relax, that warm air was like a massage. And all that fighting, he was tired.
He was still scared and miserable the whole time. That poor cat knew he was defeated, stuck again, and just had to suffer through it.
My cat was like this and I tamed her and she loves me to this day ❤❤
Thank you for showing people that every animal needs love even the ones who are angry because they could just be hurt and and they don’t understand that you love them and care for them

I love how patient you were with el Gato to help him understand you weren't going to harm him. A cats instinct is always self-preservation first, I think. Wonderful job sir!

Wow that’s very impressive, you stay so calm, hope you got a nice tip from owner❤
Forget about the tip. A simple thanks feom the owner is enough for me. I am genuinely happy to help these pets and petowners 😉. There's this feeling of joy and accomplishment when I am able to calm cats of such temperament and it just shows how i truly love my job and care about animals.
This man is a cat whispering master! Bless you for being able to be so patient with challenging felines. I don’t know how you do it, but that’s why you are the professional around here!
You're awesome 😻. Thank you for that. 🙏
you did a great job and the right thing.
I'm impressed.. Nice. 👏
He is very professional and calm. Remaining in full control despite it being a very aggressive cat.
Thank you 🙏
You never know why the cat act like this, how many times may it have been hurt by local kids or the neighborhood people tried to harm her, only the cat knows
🤷
That's exactly what I was thinking. If this isn't a feral cat, then it has been tormented by someone to the point where its first instinct is to attack a person. I feel bad for this cat. People can be so cruel.
Not necessarily .
Animals haves different temperaments from each other .
Some are chill and some are just a b*tch .
But like humans the b*tch attitude can be corrected with a stern hand .
@@redwards3457
We had a cat, who was this feral since kittenhood.
She never knew other people before. She was the kitten of my grandmother's cat and born in her attic.
We got her when she was just 2 weeks old back then in 1990.
We never mistreated her, but she became such a ferocious beast nevertheless after a few weeks.
I guess it was her personality trait.
Yes. What is its owner like? Who brought him in?
Excellent job handling this cat! Respect
Thank you 🙏
He was just terrified. You were firm and brave enough to show him he didn't need to be and then I think he started to enjoy it.
🫶🏻
He so spoiled talking 😂😂😂
😂
I think you handled the cat great!
But what I don't understand is, why the cat had to be bathed?
Cats usually take good care of themselves. Some elderly or overweight cats need help, 'cause they can't reach everywhere. Or when they got in touch with dangerous substances, like motor oil or something like that - then they need a bath.
But this cat looked healthy and the fur was in good shape, so why did you bathe it?
Customers wish I guess...🤷♀️
You cannot see the Cat's coat condition through the video. Also this is an indoor cat with kids in the household and Bean's claws are long and razor sharp. Shedding, lots of danders and poop stucked on his butt. He needed grooming. 😉
For some reason he has had to fight for his survival. Someone has been very mean to him because that is not normal cat behavior I'm happy you were able to calm him down and hopefully you will teach him to trust humans again. Humans do mean things to animals and if he could tell your story it will probably break our hearts. Thank you
Owner's won't tell me how the Cat has gotten to this Behaviour. Surely there's something happen with him in the past.
Bravo.. that took a whole lot of patience and love for animals.

Sweet cat...wtf
Mine is just like this and we had him since he was 1 months old… he’ll be 14 next month. He’s always been hyperactive and very stubborn and we thought it was because he was young.
Superb.... in the beginning we see a fiery aggressive tiger, and in the end we see a docile sweet CAT... 👌 thanks to a professional Groomer who Cares...

Welp, you will have critics on how you did things, but at the end that’s why you are the professional and they are not. At the end of the day if something goes wrong no one cares if anything happens to you. Cats may be cute pets but they can be dangerous, they are animals they don’t think like we do, they react. In my opinion you stood your ground, you did your job professionally and lots of respect for taking on such a tough customer. At the end if you didn’t love the critters, you wouldn’t do what you do. Good job. 👏
Thank you so much for this 🧡🧡🧡
Awe, he loved his bath, and drying off, he is so adorable.
You work miracles 🐱💖
Thank you 🙏
Respectfully, I think your cleaning method for this poor cat was extremely excessive, rough, and beyond a normal quick bath and dry. Literally pinning him down to clip his nails, holding him up in the air and hosing him with the water, and then blowing the hot air and again holding him up like a stuffed animal. No wonder he isn't happy.
Adding the word "RESPECTFULLY" didn't made you Respectful at all 🤣.
Great insight 👏

Please do not force these animals into a situation when they are so resistant. This cat is saying he does not want to submit. These are precious animals that rely on us humans for their well being. It is a sin to overwhelm them just so we can have our way. I am appalled that the owner of this cat would resort to such extreme measures as seen in this video. And then a video was made depicting this troubling scene. Please show more respect to our animal friends.
