On your point for glazing to knock stippling back down I've actually been painting the leather on my beast snaggas, stippling from black brown to dark brown to medium brown to light brown to an ivory/pastel yellow. I went in knowing that this would be too bright so I built up high to knock it back down with a thin glaze of snakebite leather. And I'm rather happy with the final result. It really leaves the texture of the stippling in a pleasantly subtle state and harmonizes the different browns.
As Carmine enthusiasts ourselves, we appreciated the reference! (and also I, Chris of this podcast duo, love painting minis and have loved your videos, thank you so much for sharing it with us all!)
Great vid. My last attempt at stippling turned out horrible, but this has inspired me to use it on my next mini. How would you approach stippling the recesses in the cloak if they were not as deep/pronounced?
You know, I absolutely hated Happy Days when I was a kid- who knew that 40 some-odd years later, having watched it would payoff big time with the funniest round of Carmine jokes ever committed to history.

Noooo…. Missing the good ole’ intro. That music is key!!! 😢😭
Can I ask where do you get most of your miniatures?
Local game stores or myminifactory for 3d prints.
Using this technique for a painting competition for loot studios
the opening song, what is it?

RIP Eddie Mekka, aka The Big Ragu, bka Carmine from Laverne and Shirly.
Hmm, I guess no paint company has tried using "The Big Ragoo" Red as yet another nonsensical name for one of their paint colors.
The new background music is a bit... restless? it is a bit irritating.... at least for me.
Yes unfortunately. Its interfering with the Doc's speech, making it hard to follow.
Thank goodness there isn't a paint called Horshak.
music is too loud, voice is too low
