That step further in standalone VR is really getting interesting... If there is a real hype, I bet that there will be nice and affordable haptic jackets on the market too, I mean sometime around 2023-2024 Let's hope the devs will have more and more inspiration as well :)

@@skippervr9342 well, not OFFICIALLY, but you can do it. There are mods for emulating steam VR controllers. (Yes works only on PC, but I think vrchat isn't even running on a mobile chip. It's bad optimised lol)

Don't worry if you have to wait, because I'm sure if you really want one you will be able to get one in a matter of time. The longer you wait the sweeter it is when you finally have it!

Developing the hands tracking technology for basically using every finger on a virtual keyboard will mean that the Quest of the future will replace most of the PCs and laptops: it will be smaller and powerful, huge multiple virtual screens set-up, pass-through color vision, office and productivity apps, 3D VR designing, wired or wireless streaming to printers. That is going to be awesome.

I'm sure in the future their will be a suit or gloves you can put on(like in ReadyPlayer1). Which will use your hands in-game, and you will be able to feel everything inside the game. Essentially a second universe that feels the same or even better than real life.
Used to watch you when I was little and did not know how your finger movements were so natural and now that I have an Oculus I know how you did it all and I recognized your voice when I clicked on the video

Hands don't work well for certain actions... Try shooting a gun in Pavlov, doesn't work as it should. I think a combination of controller and hand recognition support is the way to go. Oculus did great. Very competitive hardware wise and also the price tag. I truly believe they will convince the mass to at least try VR out... And once you experience VR, you get hooked!
Every time someone tells me scroll up or down I do the opposite lol i always felt like when you scroll up…your pulling down to see the top content, and when you push up, to see the bottom content
When I put my controllers down and stick my hands out, it doesn’t work even when I have the it the controllers down setting. The hands disappear from the controllers, but don’t track my hands.
