This whole album was great. I had it on vinyl when it originally came out. Sadly in the fullness of time and 34 years later I don’t have it anymore. Listening to this now brings back fond memories of my late teens in the 80s.
When he finally took off the mullet, it took 10 years off of him and although he was an alright looking guy before hand made him even better looking! My dad still has the CD single when we went to Melbourne for a holiday in very late Spring of 1988!
Love his voice i was about 17 when i heard there first song lot of people cant understsnd his singing i can @ a unusual voice will always make it in the music industry i think❤️
That could be for the band Chantoozies , cause this sing was on their debut album but it was called Slightest Notion . Didn`t know it he wrote it for them , do like his version better though.

The song is a sad story of delinquent youth dealing with mental illness, government services and dreaming of a better life. To sell it they made a video filled with fashion models. But that was the style at the time I guess.
