That's what my 93 hatchback had... a solid CEL... Replaced main fuel pump relay, distributor, TPS, ignition harness, checked belt timing, same solid cel.. found a few ecu's on offerup and seller said it works.. trailered car to him plugged in used ecu and hatch fired right up. Calibrated the tps and cleaned and replaced o-ring on IACV. Purrs like a kitten now.
Hi , was it the ecm afterall? After changing the main relay and distributor , I'm thinking of getting an ecm to see if that fixes it , I have a 95 civic
I have 92 Honda Civic DX 1.5 -5 speed with 260k miles, when it's running it runs great but recently it stopped running, it cranks but no start. couple years ago it did the same thing I had it looked at by a mechanic he said it cost close to $1000.00 to fix because you need a computer and was going to put a used one. I towed the car back to the house and took the computer to a computer shop it was a bad capacitor and a small track was burned by the capacitor it took 30 minutes to fix the charger was $20.00 put it in the car and it starts right up. I think it's happening again. It's so frustrating trying to find the problem, NEVER buying honda again it's bad engineering.
My customer still insist to fix the car they bring it into other shop they bought a used ecm replaced distributor all spark plug and wire they spend almost 2k parts and labour ..i told them they will spend a lot of money in this old car they dont believe me
😂😂😂 it’s not “bad engineering” the ecu’s are 30+ years old at this point. Things go bad. Even when you replace with new stuff… other things will gonbad

You're kidding lol. You got 260k miles out of a car and complaining it's bad engineering. What a joke
