Hi Marty & Sally, I think the donut machine is awesome! I couldn't have one...because I would probably eat most of my profits! lol, I think having a donut machine is unique, and whenever you want donuts...you can make them yourselves. Mini donuts are a sweet tooth's delight. lol, I do think it is a good idea and I hope Marty & you guys enjoy it! Thanks for sharing Sally & Marty! :)

They some good looking donuts
I remember seeing these machines back in early 2000s in Shopping Mall back in the Philippines as a kid. I remember they also had a tray of which you can choose which sugar/powder flavoring you can mix the donuts with in a bag.

I’ve never made mini donuts, but I’ve made bread before. The recipes always measure ingredients by weight and I see donuts are the same. This was fun to watch up-close and personal ! I’m 😋 hungry.
Thanks Suzy! I’m kinda lazy when it comes to baking. I don’t weigh out the ingredients and kinda wing it with the measurements. So it was fun for me to see the process up close, too.

Where do you get your premixed batter?
He responded a while ago I seen as I was scrolling through comments trying to figure what mix he is using as well and he said Lil orbits mix the place that sells the donut machine.
What donut mix you guys use
I think Marty really wanted some mini donuts. Since we are supposed to stay home. What else could he do, but make his cherished mini donuts at home. Problem solves.

I had the SL2400, these are awesome donut machines. You should buy a sauce bottle for the cinnamon sugar

Thank u for ur video I do work in the carnival business for 28yrs lol and starting mini donuts so I'm askin where do u get ur mix from and is ur electric or propane and which one is better for a tent set up and again thank u for ur video

Lol, thanks Duane, it was a lot of fun! Yeah, Marty should build himself a donut shack on wheels and start making me some mad stacks lol. Oops, poor Mabel and Ty missed out on donuts. They were napping inside. Guess I’ll have to share a few with them when Mocha isn’t looking.

Lil Orbits sales 50 pd bags and that will make about 300 Dozen donuts. $50 a bag and make about $1,500 retail. I'm about to buy my 3rd machine. 😀

Vegetable oil or Peanut oil?
Canola oil.
We stay away from anything involving peanuts. Since a lot of people are allergic to peanuts.
@@jperez9941 That makes a ton of sense, I've tried with vegetable oil and they came out very 'heavy', you'd get full after 3 or 4 just because of the oil being so heavy or thick. I'm ordering Canola oil today! Thanks for the tip.

hey marty you mentioned mix to water was 2 to 1 yes that is correct then why did you alter it and go 3 to 1? thats why your donuts are not consistent in shape plus there too dark i picked up my new ss1200 from the factory in champlin mn today i showed him your video he wasnt happy you are not following instructions so that gives lil orbits a bad name you measured ingredients wrong 3 to 1 2 to 1 is correct you didnt let dough rest 10 min after mixing for 2 min with a paddle not wire whip its more of a hokey operation your running . at the state fair many mini donut vendors do it all wrong you have to be consistent .

I am really curious as to how the Lil' Orbits has personally been to you. Are you still in business? Are you satisfied with the business and are you currently making a living selling the Lil' Orbits donuts? I would greatly appreciate any info you have of your own experience with the donut business.

Ur drop plates are in the wrong spot and they are burnt
We put the drop plates in front of the flipper to increase the flow or speed of the oil going towards the flipper. It seems to help with jams and single donut flips. Donuts weren’t burnt, they tasted fine. Any longer, tho, and they would have been.
