To Avareh, while what you say undoubtedly happens, it does not explain why when I search (from the same area, ISP, etc.) for videos that always use to pop up with certain keywords and that I have liked, they no longer pop up on the first page. In some cases they will not come up at all no matter what key words you use. There is clear censorship and intentional skewing of search results on behalf of most social media.

That's pretty drastic, there's nothing new with biased or agenda driven media. Here is what is great about platforms like UA-cam or even simple research. People now have the power to do a little digging on their own to find truth and lie. Media conglomerates attempting to turn opinion wont be as easy anymore, there's just so much information readily available. People just have to tap a few buttons to find a variety of accounts and opinion.

YT has lessened by 70% the amount of controversial videos seen by the American public. They accomplished this by rigging the search results to show all “authoritative” (mainstream news) at the top of the results even though many of the videos uploaded by mainstream channels have less views. And they also made changes to your recommendations to show you less controversial content.

My father was the director of news production at KATV in Little Rock Ar for 40 years, one of these clips was from the same studio he worked at. KATV was bought by Sinclair about 6 years ago. They came in and started firing people that had been with the company for over 30 years. Luckily my dad kept his job but he absolutely hated Sinclair. He died last year, exactly a year ago this week. Found out he had pancreatic cancer and lasted three weeks. He died a year to the week after my mother died. He had a significant amount of Sinclair stock that was passed to me. I'm extremely torn on weather to get rid of this stock or not. Sinclair is the devil

That's pretty drastic, there's nothing new with biased or agenda driven media. Here is what is great about platforms like UA-cam or even simple research. People now have the power to do a little digging on their own to find truth and lie. Media conglomerates attempting to turn opinion wont be as easy anymore, there's just so much information readily available. People just have to tap a few buttons to find a variety of accounts and opinion.

I remember back when I was younger, I'm 46 now. That every news station prior to the 90's had different journalist stories. If you didn't like the story that was playing you could change channels and watch another news station. Back then the news generally showed both sides of the story, not the what ifs, the uneducated estimates, or the scripts of today's news source.
