What an excellent narration and pronunciation too. Bless you. Rome itself is a museum and Italy is God’s own country. And I’m not even a Christian.

My last visit to Rome touring Castel Sant’Angelo we came to an open gate and walked the whole passetto and I realized we were the only ones on the path and the Vatican was getting closer. But thought not much of it as the Castel had just opened. Suddenly a man wearing a Suit came running asking us to please turn around. He said it was their fault for leaving the gate open. I looked up that night where we had been and was pleasantly thrilled.

    Wow!
One of the most spot on, informative and interesting videos about Rome. My hometown.
Also, always get a guide when you visit historical sites and galleries. You can obliviously pass in front of incredible masterpieces or features without an expert guide! They can tune the information to your level of knowledge or interest, and are generally fun and entertaining. It's better to save by seeing something less but get a guide for the attractions you visit!

Allow me to suggest another unusual area to visit to add to your list, I'm talking about the E.U.R. located in the south-west area of Rome and easily reachable by underground (line B, EUR Fermi stop). I have seen most of your suggested places researching well, before l visited Roma many times. It is a fascinating ancient City, l can not get enough off ever. Every time l am there, l discover new treasures.
How ever, l wonder why there is so little about the recent history, architecture in EUR - Esposizione Universale Roma with the Palazzo della Civilta Italiana (1938-43)...the Benito Mussolini era. The fascist architecture of EUR was used by famous Italian film directors like M. Antonioni 1962 movie L’Eclisse, Bertolucci’s 1970 movie THE CONFORMIST, Fellini’s 8 1/2, And Boccaccio’70...
Also , outside Roma the marvellous Tivoli Villa d’Este, Villa Adriana. I visited these places every time l got a bit tired of the hustle bastle of Roma.
It was a great pleasure to see all these cultural, and ancient places again through your eyes, and information. Thank you. ❤🇮🇹 Greetings from Melbourne, AUS

This video is so good, thank u for making this gem of amazing info! I love ppl who can think of adventurous things 2do besides wait in a really long line 2visit an already crowded place!
I’m studying 2get my tour guide license here in Nyc, U motivated me 2think of things 2do out of the ordinary. I really need 2study my French/Italian languages lol..Its going 2b a bit harder since many cool places have closed/disappeared since the C.V. hit the city so hard last year 😕 Have things changed a lot over there 4u as well in Italia?
Also I swear U are the first person I ever heard with a British accent then switch to Italian! I shouldn’t be surprised just like here we speak English/Spanish and Spanglish too lol but over here where I’ve worked in hospitality no one has spoken like you!
Anyway just subscribed glad I found u nice 2meet U! Me llamo Mari Colette

Thank you so much Marie for your kind words 😀 Yes. Things have changed, just like in most places around the world but it’s slowly adjusting to the new normal! If you need help with your languages you should take a look at my language courses here bit.ly/The-Intrepid-Guide-Courses P.S. I’m Australia with Italian heritage 😉

Thank you so, so much Michele for such a wonderful guided tour through my favorite city, "Rome". Your coverage was simply magnificent and extremely informative. The sights (as only you now how to capture on film) were utterly breathtaking and mesmerizingly spectacular to say the least. The result of your coverage left me speechless. You are truly gifted and I look forward to seeing more videos as they come to hand. Keep up the excellent work Bella:)

Lovely, this video on time for me. I am going to Rome 5 April 2023 for 5 days for Easter. Can I ask you if shops and restaurants are open on Easter this year 9th and 10th of April? Thank you.

Went to Saint Clement Basically and probably my highlight of Rome. Not sure how I feel about you sharing this site missed by most tourists. Spent hours in there on a summers day in peak season and barely anyone else in site. Great recommendations overall. Loved the video.which to do the Alpine way on my return to Rome.

Hi! :) Where are you when you're standing with Colosseum in the background, 6:38? Makes for a great photo opportunity!

By the way, I taught myself Italian -took 1.5 years but only spoke Italian on trip-so we can speak Italian. You must be bi-lingual Australian? I'm a linguist from Canada.

    Michelle you are amazing!
I love every one of these suggestions, especially er passetto - definitely on my "to do" list.
(Although, I fear given the Australian government's decisions, I may never get back home.)
Thank you for bringing this piece of Rome.
Which is your favourite country / city?

That’s so sweet and kind of you to say so. I really appreciate your kind words 😀🤩🥰 I’m so glad you enjoyed it 😀 I used to live in Rome so my heart will always be drawn there so I’d have to say it’s my favourite, both for its tangible history and my Italian and international friends I made there. I hope you can visit soon. I’m eager to get back to Melbourne to see my family
