I worked for Shaffer until May of 2023 when my spouse started having health issues. I had to come off the road for her, ( she rode with me about 75 per cent of the time)... Diagnosed last fall with uterine cancer, and she is now in chemo treatments until May. I hope to come back to Shaffer (Deland) after that, but in the meantime, I get out on the road virtually through your channel. All the ups and downs out there, the twists and turns that pop up daily...I relate to them all. Stay safe.

Majority of the time P&G is always like that u should never break the seal u should always check the bol to verify if the seal matches the bol if not it’s always the guard shack to do so always due to the fact a lot of truck drivers have been fd up with shippers that they would steel merchandise from them and that’s how they would know if u have broken the seal u would have to dock that trailer to the dock again for them to verify the load count again

Be sure to be proactive, communicate, do your trip planning and offer better solutions if a preplan they give you doesn’t use your hours wisely. It seems that the dispatcher sometimes prefers to give you the closest load rather than looking at the time you might have to wait. Just communicate. Sometimes they can find you a better load or move an appointment. It’s not about just being a ‘yes’ man. It’s about being productive. For you and the company! Hope that little insight helps you. 😃🤗🤩
