Thank you so much for this video! I got 2 different heat mats a few weeks ago but haven’t used them yet. Didn’t really know how to start and was afraid I’d do something wrong. Well your video convinced me to unpack those heat mats and start using them under the multiple props I have sitting around. Your videos have been so helpful.

Great idea. I should pull mine out for my amaryllis. They need a little help blooming.

I love my heat mat Devin! I have used it to bring my Amaryllis bulbs out of dormancy. However this year I'm going to try your trick of placing them near my heating and see if there's a difference.

I’ve had the two heat mats grow lights, fungicide powder, coco peat, I’m just waiting for my seeds show up. Thanks for making videos.

Hi Devon..I just bought a heat mat for my warm to hot growing Orchids. My Bellina is slow to grow new roots. Hoping this will help.

Will a heat mat be good for keeping tropicals cozy during our cold Canadian winters? I often have to choose between putting plants near a window for light, or moving them away from the cold window.

Yes it def would! Just keep an eye on their soil as they will dry out faster

I grew them but my heat mat was too hot and rotted them. I also grew ponytail palms, monsteras, and some Thaumatophyllum bipinnatifidum from seed. I had to put the heat mat under the tray as a buffer the reduce the heat a little.

@@DionneRoxanne I heard that a fungicide is also needed. I’m in AZ. We are in Armageddon because the low is 65.

omg my sunflower seeds (for micros) were rotting out while germinating and i could not figure out why, the only change in my grow space is that it's now colder, ~55F. i wonder if this is why!! same method of growing in previous warmer months they grew great in my house. i am going to try this!!
