I use Critique Partner. Admittedly, the results have been mixed (I have encountered one or two nutters on there) but overall it beats trying to do it my own.
@@rad4924 100% agree! Most of the CC critiques are very helpful, a few are just plain weird. It's great for short stories and opening chapters. It's not ideal for a full novel, though.

Start by making sure your CP wants what’s best for your story not to show off how smart they think they are

Get feedback from different people and look for issues more than one person raises.
