  • My apologies for the less than stellar sound quality.
During the annual April To-Shin Do Black Belt Retreat I was asked to lead a short training session on defending “pick ups/takedowns” and then applying TSD techniques to “seal the deal”.
Train with me online at NinjaSelfDefense.com and TheNinjaEveryday.com. Train with me in person at Chapel Hill Quest Martial Arts, chquestcenter.com to schedule a private martial arts training session or personal training session. Great explanation. Great attention to situational circumstance. I was able to practice some of this in the dojo! Thank you. 🥋👍🏾

@@TheNinjaEveryDay hey question why not apply pressure with your back and fight the hands and drop like a bit but not sit so when there hand break you can turn and not be on the ground cause if they manage to stay on there feet that could be potentially dangerous

Then they’re most certainly not gonna go for a takedown...

Hahahahahahahaha. It’s called “sprawling”. No way you LEARN it to use it on a non compliant partner

This guy is completely avoiding the single leg and double leg takedown. a good wrestler will change his level and shoot straight through for the takedown. only a guy who doesn't know much will stand upright and hug you from the front. it is a huge sign the guy doesn't know what he is doing. He didn't defend against a high level wrestler or Bjj practitioner. He needs to be careful with what he says in regards to defense against wrestling or Bjj takedowns. There were ninjutsu guys in the early UFC that got destroyed.

Thank you for your points! I was asked specifically about dealing with pick ups rather than doubles and singles. Really appreciate you watching!

Steve Jenner was a ninja who won UFC 4

Or maybe it was ufc 3. Royce Gracie was injured and had to bow out after his battle with Kimo
