This is not a lindy rig. A lindy uses a teardrop shaped lead weight with a hole in the top end. This weight is located above the barrel swivel. This allows the bait to rise a little when there is slack in the line. You can also thread a small barrel shaped float by the hook. this keeps the bait off the bottom.
I like the simple presentation, how would I use this technique in the st claire river ( 2-3 mph strong current) ? I see people using 2lb sinkers then throwing snap swivels down their main line to meet a bead stopper, but i heard lindy rigs are very good but don't want to lose a bunch of gear figuring it out
Grew up in MN and always put a slip sinker above the swivel and did not tie the hook end to the swivel but rather created a loop for easy replacement- had additional rigs ready. Thoughts?
Wow straight forward plain and simple. The best I’ve seen yet
Why are you not using the Lindy Walking Sinker?

@@SportsmansJournalTV Thanks man, i've always used those 1/2oz+ lindy rig sinkers. I'll try this setup and see how it goes.
I have watched all the Lindy people not explaining the Lindy rig.. and you explain it and how to use it. They need to fire their crew and hire you.
Hawk of the North love it!! That rig has caught a lot o fish! Thanks again!
Nice rig, I'll add the barrel swivel to mine

Pit a bead on the main line under the split shot? Will that work?
As a dentist, the line biting absolutely made me cringe. But the rig is great.
Phillip Swantek ha ha😂. 💯 truth!!
Great video
You are trying the hook on wrong ! The line should be on the shank !
