Very few jets in Aspen when I lived across the highway on the old Zoline property back in the late seventies. Almost as crowded as Bozeman. Livin the dream.
Awesome history. Not only serial number 001 but also ENGINE serials 001 and 002. The first of the first. I've always loved the approach to Aspen. It's fun in winter too.
@@Kaipeternicolas I thought the same thing! And what are the odds that it is based at my home airport! Now I can say I've flown everything from the very first CJ, to brand new 3+'s and 4's.
Smooth soft landing into Aspen. Other pilot's (U-Tube) callout Aspen as difficult. My 3rd flight on your channel - excellence in your skills & flight checks. If you ever need a Pilot referral use me - mention: I fly jump-seat (but, no need to mention my seat is my kitchen chair or my Laptop on the table) - you're very through with all flight checks & air / atmosphere awareness
That's common in Aspen, they have the timing down just perfect so they launch one in the opposite direction headed towards you as you are on the approach. The departure out of there has a quick turn so they avoid you.
@@TheRunwayRyan The Cj3+ is a rocket ship. 🚀 Did you see the one that burned down the other day? Good reminder to make sure pax know how to open the exits.

Colorado is great. Spent 3 happy years there back when Lowry was open in Denver. Got onto a lot of 4 wheel drive roads I wished I hadn't.
Thanks Ryan ! Enjoyed the video very much ! I’m ready to see more flights in the Cherokee also. Keep em coming…
Thank you! I'll see what I can do!

@@TheRunwayRyan without a doubt!
Love these videos man keep them comin!
Thanks! Will do!
That must have been like flying history given that is the 1st CJ, enjoy your videos
It was pretty cool!
That's insane actually. Pretty cool that that thing is still around and got some nice upgrades.

@@TheRunwayRyan that's very cool! Lucky you!
@@Kaipeternicolas I’m definitely very fortunate!
Whew that ridgeline on the approach is imposing!
Yes it is! Very steep descent after that!
Enjoyable video. Thanks for sharing Ryan. What are you doing for your full time gig?
I am a corporate pilot for a local company. On the side I am able to do some of these contract flights.
Awesome
Thank you!
Nice job.
Thanks!

Thanks a lot!
I enjoyed riding in that older Citation, it's good to know that old birds still fly. Do you know when that bird was built?
1993!
Do you always land that smooth? Been following a while and enjoy your videos…
I get lucky quite a bit! The old saying applies here, I'd rather be lucky than good!
STEAM GAUGES?!?! Wow, that WAS an early CJ!!
The very first one! Serial Number 1, with Engines # 1 & 2 as well.
Learned a new term today “virga” very interesting
There you go! Trying my best here!
I keep hearing ATC say 113GL but the dash ( above the artificial horizon) plaque reads 133GL???
Hmm, maybe an audio issue. It is 133GL though.
Greased it!!!
Always!
THIS was cool
Thanks!
Nice video. Get an SIC, Safety !…
Glad you liked the video!
Rolled it on
Always!
Live the dream man! I should know. You could lose that medical in a Jiffy and unexpectedly. Keep well insured.
Thank you!
I never did see the outgoing/opposing traffic (heard TCAS ......... no joy, though).

Must drink ginger and lemon. Will help with the voice.😀👍🏼
Ya I was thinking that while I was editing the video! A bad day for allergies!
👍🏾
Nothing wrong with that plane!
It really isn't too bad! It's not the 3+ that I'm used to, but it still gets the job done!

@@SquawkCode Yes I did! Wild!
@@TheRunwayRyan Right? How does that even happen? 🤦♂️
