Thank you Julie, you are very informative about your Ostrich Wing. I’m sure it is a life saver in the desert hot sun. It creates such an Oasis! Just wanted to say you explain everything in great detail.Great job!
We loved the airplane noise :) and we are happy to see your Ostrich Wing is getting daily use! It is the original free standing 270 awning from way way back in 2008 in south Africa and the "one that started it all". Yes - you can add 2 more poles on each leg and the kit includes the nylon knuckles and strap to store them in the awning permanently. Those are all included in the wall kit. The awning is sold with just a single leg as it is designed to be used free-standing in moderate winds and just a single tie-down leg in heavy winds - beyond which it is better to store it away. One thing to mention is the awning is symmetric - all the panels are the same size and can be mounted in any configuration (solid walls, window wall and door wall. Enjoy your trails and adventures!
Thanks for a great awning comparison, Julie! You gave us some good information, and I think that either would be fine, but I watched your Alucab awning when it got ruined and remember how heartsick I was for you. Glad that your Ostrich Wing 270 is working out. Let us know how it does in the rain when you have your first experience with it.
You seem so natural when you were doing the review. Keep that up! Been following alot of youtube for a long time and sure enjoy seeing people try new things and do reviews. Even if i dont have a rig set up for it sure like seeing products used and opinions of people that use them. Keep on keepin on sure enjoyed this video!
Hehe thank you ! Yup I'm just sharing my experiences and talking about things I actually use! It's natural because I wasn't paid to review it haha, it's a product I need.
@@TheOverlanderNextdoor kinda what i figured and hiw i do best anyways lol! Going to go fight fires this summer and go pay cash for an FJ, get set up with the basis so the dog n i can do some wandering roaming to be free.
you need to do more gear review that's where the money is...... and the fact that you really overland and put your rig into the test gives you street cred to review these gears

I haven't posted the shock tower repair yet.
What's that extension on the rear of your roof rack? Or is that just how big it is?

Haha I considered it! I may try to do more but in the past they didn't seem to do very well

Nah, I'll still take FSR's. Much lighter and I can attach a vestibule/annex to it.
