I love this trilogy, it’s old school, but I really like the plot and atmosphere
I never thought I'd see the original trilogy on consoles ever, this was so cool to come out. I hope controller support gets added to the pc versions like people said devs were looking into. I play anything I possibly can on pc with a controller, I can do mouse and keyboard pretty decent and hold my own but due to nerve damage it ends up hurting and cramping my hands/wrists/neck up after a bit fairly bad. It sucks since I want to really sink and immerse myself into Anomaly SO bad but due to pain can't. And pc controller input mapper programs or even the built in steam one never feel quite right for aiming, I tried and it was impossible to hit moving dog mutants attacking me which was trivial to do on mouse lol. Nice to catch a new vid, very long time subscriber, I just have rarely commented over the years, life has just been very tumultuous to say the least lol
Oh man I am sorry to hear that, that sounds awful. I do hope they get that done it would be a great feat to help others place it and just doing this alone is spreading the game out further and getting new eyes on it which is nice. Glad to have ya, I defiantly feel what ya mean, life has been something else as of late.
Ah The Zone... it's been so long since I played any of the Stalker games, nice to know they've been ported over, maybe more people will get to experience what it's been like for all of us, well minus mods I guess. I can't imagine playing with a controller but at least you seem to get the hang of it. I always knew the errors were a feature and not a bug, they even ensured console players experience that side too!
I heard they are trying to make it where you can do the mods on PlayStation and OOOF, I don't think I would ever try Misery or something like that on fucking console. God help us all.
I am a console player and i tried playing STALKER on pc around ten years ago. The mouse aiming was awesome but i didn't like using a keyboard for everything else. I was was waiting for STALKER 2 come out to play on Xbox and was so surprised the ports came out. I am not great at playing them yet but i do like playing.
Trackballs are the best for FPS gaming. Gotta be a symmetrical one like the Logitech Trackman Marble or a Kensington.

Crazy to think that the only 2 FPS on consoles that have come out in 2024 so far are all remasters of old games (Dark Forces and Stalker)

I am happy you are playing it on PS4 Pro. I am curious how it performs on that. I have Xbox Series S as well as a year old gaming PC with Ryzen 5 5600G so have no shortage of ways to potentially play it. I just hope they bring the controller and achievement support to the Steam versions. Tons of owners of original series on Steam are begging them for it so hopefully it comes. Anyways excited to see how mods will work on it. I am waiting for the new jailbreak coming to PS4 supposedly this summer so really excited to port over content manually over to my PS4 Pro for the more complex total conversion mods. They did say they are working on mod support but Sony is notoriously against mods since UT3 Engine on PS3 so they don't tend to allow them anymore.

6:09 Shadow Ops Red Mercury, Men of Valor and Medal of Honor Airborne had the same exact system. You can only lean when aiming, but you can't move.

My first question when i saw this release which was a welcome suprise was did they fix all the broken quests, also hot damn what does this mean for PC players in the future, i wonder?
It means nothing for PC players. The PC versions will forever be _greatly_ superior just because S.T.A.L.K.E.R. has this HUGE, incredible modding community. You lose a looot by not having it on console. Aside from that, it only means S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will come out, hopefully, and if they stick to their word, there will be new huge opportunities for our beloved modding community. So nothing new, pretty much.

@@wonder2k19We are already begging them for controller support and achievements at least over on Steam announcement news update advertising the new release. So the devs dully noted and responded no promises but they hear our pleas.

For me when people are moving, or mutants especially, it is a bit until I get used to how it goes. I'm doing better now, but at first I'd shoot just missing all the time.

You obviously have a PC but I would say to anyone fortunate enough to have both a PlayStation and an Xbox that mods are apparently coming soon so buy it on Xbox if you care about that because, as Fallout 4 players will know, Sony is very restrictive with mods.

You should've paid Kuznetsov to let you through to avoid all this shit in the bridge lol.Who am i kidding,no one has enough money by then.Anyway i think it's a good move by GSC bringing the classics to consoles,more people need to know STALKER.They also want console players to play the previous games before S2 comes out because it will be on Xbox and maybe PS later.
Same I think it was a pretty solid idea and it seems it is bringing some fresh views to the game just before a launch so that is great!

So, the game is hacked for console babies.
Honestly the tracking is a hindrance. They have it on by default and I didn’t realize it and it would usually lock on to an area no where near what I was trying to hit unless for some reason it’s predicting the AI’s movement and is trying to lead the target. Once I realized what was happening and turned it off it was way easier to maneuver and aim correctly and lead shots. The only issues I’ve had were some of the in-game cutscenes (like the helicopters flying in when going to save mole) can mess up and cause some really jarring visual glitches. The audio mixing is terrible sometimes (crows/ravens obnoxiously loud and a few other instances similar to that.) Other than that though I really haven’t had too many issues nor has it dashboard crashed yet, thankfully. Amazing game and glad I finally get to play it as a console peasant, holds up extremely well and is probably one of my favorite games now.
