Unfortunately I'm not excited for this game anymore nor do I hope that it will actually release in September.
Unless Microsoft pushes GSC as THQ did when the first game came finally out several years later.
There are soo many reasons not to be and I'm saying this as a fan of the franchise.
I was on the STALKER subreddit and the majority of people, especially the fans from the West, are totally hyped for this game and dont understand that delay after delay is usually a very bad sign for a game.
Those kind of people expect the game to be a kind of Escape from Tarkov-ish game which STALKER never was.
Actually it was a action/horror RPG.
The original developers of GSC left and made the METRO series.
This could be a good or bad sign for the "new" STALKER 2 game.
But I doubt that inexperienced people can develop a worthy successor.
Valid points, I definitely get why the push back on the date is usually not a good sign. The reason I feel like we are NOT in a terrible state is really just because of this I suppose.
When it was announced the game was back in production they told us they would be radio silent for 3 years or so which they more or less were until the BREAD got leaked (lol)
Within the last year we are getting real show of the game (maybe not exactly what everyone wants to see just yet), but real show of the game. WE are getting real advertising, they were at Gamescon presenting. Maybe I am hopeful or believing, but to me I feel we are in a good spot. Then again the reason I feel that way is because we went from having nothing for over a decade of stalker 2 and now we are getting consistent things, even if the date is being pushed back.
I know that means they are not to pace with where they wish to be, and as you stated I recall hearing some left for the Metro team. But to my knowledge they still have experienced and vets on the team.
IDK we shall see of course. GSC is the last company I really believe in so, hopefully not let down.

I know that because their trailer says that it is the final release date announcement. Could something happen? Yeah, but they gotta feel some sense of confidence in the date if they are stating it will be the FINAL time. Who knows what the future holds though, hopefully great things. @@MaxMustermann-lr8dd
