Cheers for the video. My suggestion is (if you have) an interphase to connect all the sounds there because at least for me with ambient mic you cant hear clearly the differences between. In other way. Sadly in modelers is the same "problem" that isnt the same sound as the original (pedal or amp) with the same settings. You have to tweak to get a closer result. I got the GX100 and i like a lot, tempted to get a Helix LT for more options on amps, pedals and updates...but maybe is just a bad idea. Well i hope more vídeos for the GX100. Are you aware of the linear vs logarithmic taper? Because modelers generally use a different taper than their analog counterparts, which means you will find the same levels at different spots on the knobs. Are you able to find the same sounds if you tweak the digital "knobs" differently?
The few times I tried multieffect units, the drive channels were not good. Wouldn't it be like shooting in the own foot by Boss if this was equally good as the individual pedals? For me personally thinks like this brings to many options, I would just turning knobs instead of playing.
In my (personal) experience, these are two different worlds that converge at some points. Nowadays, we have manufacturers with products that "emulate" digital equipment very faithfully to the classic analog gear, though not exactly with the same settings. Boss, specifically, has a way of designing their digital equipment (multi-effects) that can intimidate and deter some users. However, once you get used to and "understand" the company's philosophy, the results come through. I agree with the part where you mention "turning knobs," as it's a common trap to try to copy and paste from analog to digital-it simply doesn’t work that way. Frustration often starts at this point. Well, I just wanted to share my perspective on the matter. Wishing everyone a happy 2025 and sending positive energy from Brazil! Cheers!!
Did you adjust the input settings for your guitar in the GX-100? It's kind of an important thing to do.
Earned my sub, been wondering this for a long time
Thanks! I have always wondered how they would compare face to face!

Through you tube and a nice set of headphones, the tone sounded the same to me. Seemed a bit more clear on the gx-100
In the room the boss SD1 was clearest.
Good one. Seems you can just cut the high frequency on boss gx and be good to go. Nice
It's more than just high frequencies. The Level and gains are also off, quite a bit in fact when you are in the room.

Nice video! Did you use 4 cable connection on the GX? Does it matter?
No, they are gain pedals so don't go on the effects loop. All straight in the front.
If I do one with delays or reverbs, I'll use the effects loop.
Your clean sound isn't very clean.
