Hey thanks for the video. Can you check VRM temperatures of the motherboard under load?
Thank you for watching the video! A simple load test was conducted, but I don't know if the temperature sensor on the motherboard exactly indicates the temperature of the VRM.
The surest way is to measure with temperature measurement equipment, but it's hard to check because I don't have equipment for temperature measurement.
In my test, the temperature sensor mounted on the motherboard recorded a lower temperature than the CPU.
I don't think you need to worry much about the VRM temperature if you're in a general use environment rather than an artificial load test when using it in combination with an air cooler.
On intel site it already said that 12400f base tdp was 65 watt and max tdp was 117 watt,,
it's OK to change to 140 watt for daily use? or just use 110 watt instead, below the max tdp
It doesn't seem to be a big problem if it's used for general use.

Hello, really like your video, a had a question. Can you set max tdp for normal use, or only for boost ?
There may be a difference depending on the bios version, but I think there will be no problem until i5 non K if you use it without releasing the limit.

@@OBvn. Well, in april 2022 i bought ASUS B660M-K D4 with i3 12100F, later in the end of may 2022 i bought i5 12400F. Used it to January 2023, bought i7 12700KF, MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4, used it to to February 2024, switched to AM5, 7600X, MSI B650 Tomahawk Wi-fi, and in the end of June 2024 i bought 7800X3D.

I have an important question bc i have the same bios settings specs (only thing thats different is bios version 5.0) but get a different Result in CPU z where my single core performance is only 660 and 930, how is it possible that we get such a big difference? Can help why thats the case?
Clean up all running background programs and try running them again. Try setting the power option in Windows to performance mode.
For a typical PC with a program installed to a certain extent, there may be a score difference of about 5% due to the use of resources in the background program. There's no big problem. Don't worry.

One 12v RGB header and two 5v ARGB headers are provided.

12400F can be installed and used immediately without a separate BIOS update.

@@synaxedits Both msi b660m a DDR4 and ASRock b660m PRO RS are motherboards that are sufficient to use with the 12400F. I think you can buy it considering your preferred brand or price merit.

I think the VRM specification is not suitable for combination with i9 12900k
Hey question do you not need a m.2 wifi card ?
In case of m.2 wifi module, it can be installed separately, and in Korea, it is sold as a package product as well as a single motherboard. I borrowed the product without the wifi card, so there is no separate wifi card installation in the video.

The m.2 SSD I used is a 4th generation product, and the model name is SAMSUNG PM9A1.

If the SSD you want to use is M.2 SATA, try mounting it to the M2_2 slot. When checking the user manual, the SATA type instructs to connect to M2_2.

Yes, in ASRock, you can control it in the BFB menu on the bios. Please refer to 4:27 in the video.

I didn't see the BLCK adjustment item. (*It could be just something I haven't discovered.)
Since it is a rental product, we conducted a test focusing on basic performance, and we couldn't test the overclock in depth because we didn't have enough time.

Why did u put the cpu on 140watt?
I've used the ability to simply unlock the CPU's power limit.
Can you mount lga 1200 coller here ?
A separate LGA 1700 conversion kit is required to install a cooler that uses an LGA1200 socket. Please contact the vendor or manufacturer of the cooler you are using.
So do we able to overclock this cpu with asrock b660m ?
CPU overclocking is not supported.

Most motherboards follow the integrated cable connector specification, so even if the motherboard models are not the same, there will be no major problems with PC assembly when watching PC assembly guide videos on different channels.

That's right, I agree with you. It's ambiguous because it's a structure that fixes the SSD by pressing it with a heat sink.
When placing the heat sink, it can be mounted easily by mounting it as if it fits the hole from the left.
is this good with 12400f?
I think it will be enough for general use purposes.

on system properties on your spec it say memory is 16gb (15.8gb usable right?)
@@MauriceMosss The reason why the installed memory is 16GB and the available capacity is 15.8GB is that the notation method used in the system is different.
This is common, and almost all cases of indicating capacity are applicable. There is no problem with the installed memory, so you don't have to worry.
As a similar example, when a 1TB storage device is mounted, it is displayed as 931GB in the OS.

A typical 2280-sized M.2 SSD can be equipped with up to two.
And for the lower M.2 slot, it is PCIe3.0 type instead of PCIe4.0 type, so you should refer to it for SSD configuration.

If you get non mATX version of this board you get x3 m.2 ssd slots (x2 4.0 and x1 3.0 so an extra 4.0).
