For Jonathan’s third instalment of Facetime Portraits he welcomes the British radio and television presenter, author and Podcaster, Fearne Cotton.
In the fourth sitting Jonathan explains some of the limitations experienced from painting a portrait via an iPad screen including the lack of 3D and colour information. He also explores his thinking of how to distill the expression of a sitter over time as well as how to decide when a painting is finished.
The episode continues with Fearne and Jonathan discussing the fundamentals of creativity and the difference between instinct and experience, intuition and science.
Finally they share stories of where hangovers can be occasionally useful in one's professional practice, but rarely!
