For Jonathan’s third instalment of Facetime Portraits he welcomes the British radio and television presenter, author and Podcaster, Fearne Cotton.
In the second sitting we hear more from Jonathan about his painting process and medium decisions while deciding his canvas and composition.
Fearne and Jonathan also engage in topics such as assessing one's expectations of an artwork before it is complete, the delicate balance of patience and impatience when making art, how to find one's personal style, the challenges of painting portraits via ipad, and painting from life versus from photographs.

Interesting to watch and listen to your conversations. Does the paint normally dry to the touch in between sittings?

@chriswhitehouse8982 (if you're still around), oil paint will dry more-or-less overnight if it is mixed with an alkyd medium, such as Liquin. Otherwise it will remain wet for anything between a week and a month, depending upon what medium - if any - it is mixed with (oils, turpentine, or a mixture).
