  • For Jonathan’s fourth instalment of Facetime Portraits he welcomes the British chef, restaurateur, broadcaster, author and campaigner, Jamie Oliver.
In the first sitting Jonathan and Jamie enjoyably chat through a wide range of subjects including the rules of sitting for an artist, recent challenges of lockdown and keeping the balance of work and family in check, the importance of friendship, the merits of alcohol assisting creativity and how to broadcast in a guerilla fashion within the limits of lockdown.
The sitting also receives an unexpectedly brilliant interruption from a very special guest.

' I don't like Jonny sometimes ' - LOL! The brutal honesty of children.

I'd love to know how you prepare your canvas. Are you using oil or acrylic for the background colours?
