As a retired software engineer, I was exposed to Affirmative Action where we’d laugh about hiring and promoting minority women for double the points towards our annual bonus in the late 70’s. When I hear about white privilege, I think about the white men that have been held down for the last 40 years. America should be a merit based society but it hasn’t been in the last 50 years! Because I’m retired I can speak truth and I can afford to be canceled or frowned on but employees and business owners can’t speak their minds in America which reminds me of Southeast Asia where the citizens are afraid to speak out against the king or government. The solution is education and we won’t get back to America of 1965 for 50 years if we started right now. The first step is everyone needs to tell the truth regardless of the consequences. The left has destroyed the fairness in our country and I’m not proud that I went along with it for my own career benefits. Just my two cents about DEI 😊

I dunno, it didn't end well in China, they DID cancel everyone. We have to participate and push back individually, we can't trust it will crush itself. In a way, this is really a contest between different human impulses, and it's not certain which will win. Maybe in the LONG RUN (many many years), I agree with you it will lose. But in the long we're all dead, we have to do what we can. Each of us should try to be part of the change, that's what I'm trying to say.
