My brother's wife backed out on him, so I went with. I was more into bands like Replacements or REM than Yes. He filled me in on the history of Yes on the way to the ARW concert. Then I see this guy get on stage with no instrument and I'm like WTF is he. Then. Holy. Shit. He starts singing and I recognize the voice And then, he tells the story ofwriting long distance roundaround in 1970 or 71 and I'm thinking holy crap this guy is unbelievable, he can sing like that at that age I will be lucky if can crap in the toilet still. Great show, in case I wasn't absolutely clear. Blown away by Trevor's guitar playing too.
I live north of Orlando and this was the last show I ever got high to after I began going to concerts since 1986. I realized the music I grew up loving I loved when I was a kid without ever smoking anything. I now drink a beer, or two, at a show but that's good enough.
I first heard YES play this on a 45 RPM, March, 1971. This song started it all, for me! I am glad that ANDERSON, RABIN, & WAKEMAN, have included it in their first tour, ever.
I've listened to YES music since 1971 and I still enjoy all the music in one form or another. I'm very pleased with this reincarnation of YES. The band looks so very happy to perform together! Plus they put twists on the songs which makes it even better :)
Think this is proof that Yes isn't the members, it's the idea and songs like Jon says. They are really loving it, even Rick, look at him at the end clapping and singing a long (though he is someone who can't sing at all and hates it). I really hope this tour and the Yes one sparks up a re-union of some kind even if it's just a one of on their anniversary, though saying that they will need a big stage there would be like 20 of them on at once. Until then though, ARW is looking great, thanks for the post, can't wait to see them in UK.
The energy and power in which they are playing this is infinitely better then the latest incarnation of YES. Jon Anderson is the soul and dynamic presence of YES!
Great to see these guys together....the official Yes is no longer in the "zone," but these guys are certainly heading there! A few more nights of playing and they will be utterly fantastic! Looking forward to hearing them in Atlanta!!! Miss Chris (God rest his soul) but good bass licks here. And some pretty precise drumming.
So well-recorded, and you even edited these clips to fade in and out. Great work. Thank you! By the way, this band can co-exist happily with Yes. Rainbow and Deep Purple spring to mind.
**Trevor Rabin: An Excellent Guitarist and Musical Visionary** In the world of music, few names are as celebrated and admired as Trevor Rabin's. This South African musician has proven himself to be an excellent guitarist and a musical visionary who has left a lasting impression in various music genres over the years. Whether it's his groundbreaking work with the band Yes or his impressive solo career, Rabin has consistently demonstrated that he is a gifted talent. **The Beginning of a Glorious Career** Born on January 13, 1954, in Johannesburg, South Africa, Trevor Rabin developed a passion for music at a young age. He started with piano lessons and quickly transitioned to the guitar. This transition would lay the foundation for his future success. In the early '70s, Rabin formed his own band, Rabbitt, which gained popularity in South Africa and began to receive international recognition. **Joining Yes and the Transformative Era** The pinnacle of Rabin's career thus far came in 1982 when he joined the legendary progressive rock band Yes. His influence on the band was immediately evident with the release of the album "90125" in 1983. Rabin's guitar work and songwriting were crucial to the album's success, which featured hits like "Owner of a Lonely Heart" and "Leave It." These songs quickly became classics and have stood the test of time. Rabin brought a fresh, energetic sound to Yes and changed the direction of the band. His technical guitar skills, combined with his unique musical vision, made him an indispensable asset to the group. The album "90125" even earned Yes their first and only number 1 hit in the United States. **A Diverse Solo Career** After his time with Yes, Trevor Rabin continued with a successful solo career. He released several solo albums, some of which were instrumental and showcased his versatility as a musician. His solo work encompassed not only rock music but also influences from jazz, classical, and film music. Rabin's ability to seamlessly navigate between different styles is a testament to his musical genius. One of the most notable aspects of Rabin's solo career is his work as a film music composer. He composed music for numerous films, including the popular action film "Armageddon" in 1998, for which he received a Grammy Award nomination. His film compositions have contributed to creating the emotional impact of many beloved movies. **A Lasting Influence** Trevor Rabin has enriched the world of music for decades with his virtuosity on the guitar and his ability to create timeless melodies. His contributions to music, both as a member of Yes and in his solo work and film music, continue to have a lasting influence on musicians and listeners worldwide. Whether you enjoy the powerful guitar riffs in Yes songs or are captivated by his emotional film scores, Trevor Rabin's talent and impact are undeniable. He will always be remembered as an excellent guitarist and a musical visionary who has enriched the world of music with his unique style and creativity. We never your "Owner of a Lonely Heart solo" , Thank you Trevor
Yes definitely should do one show. Just one show. Say a show at the Royal Albert Hall. Video it. Release it. Members- Jay and Alan, Steve, Trevor, Jon, John, Billy, Rick and the Todmobile Rockestra maybe some other guest stars, play all of the yes songs that we wanna hear, play everything, save it, release it to your fans!
Looking forward to see them play in Europe...I'm really glad that Jon and the Wizard are back...Trevor is doing terrific good job with guitar. But I'm still missing Chris, Stewe and Alan from the line up...but considering the circumstances...this will do for me. It's still one of the incarnations of YES.
Its time to make an UNION part 2 with Steve Howe then the only Original members of Yes came back as one great band! Jon, Rick, Steve, and the others.... Long Live live YES the best prog act ever!
Agreed. Of course, you can't have Yes without Chris Squire. He's not currently available. But you know, that Billy Sherwood does a pretty fine job. I still prefer Howe to Rabin.... and Wakeman was never really my favorite Yes keyboard player... hmmm. Good thing those other guys are still around.
wakeman is my favorite keyboardist from yes and i arguably like rabin more than howe, so i definitely prefer arw, plus i dislike yes's replacement for john Anderson
Got to agree there. I've watched a few Yes vids of late, and while it's all very well-crafted, and note-perfect, it just lacks heart. You're right also, about the singer. He sounds good, definitely a good vocalist, but not for Yes' music, and my goodness, he's most definitely not in the same league as Jon Anderson, one of *the* truly iconic voices in popular music over the past four decades.
4 days to go- really psyched! Spoiled it for myself by peaking at the set list. If I have to use the restroom, I guess this song will afford the perfect opportunity, even though I never heard this song before (lol- only 17,000 times- it's becoming prostate kereoke! If it means not hearing this, Roustabout, Oger of a loony heart, and even Star Trek bloopers, I'd rather see the tunes Trevor indicated he wants included- such as shoot high aim low, real love, and other gems from big generator and talk. But I realize every band has those obligatory top 40 hits they got to play.
We all needed a good shot of Yes in our veins, ths for Mr Anderson to make it all happen......and Rabin is doing a great job and the rest of the band too
I think the wisest thing that this outfit YES has done was to produce each studio record with their replacement lead vocal singers the ones who have replaced Jon Anderson with 'Heaven And Earth' and 'Fly From Here' they're both fantastic! After that well, for myself things get kind of screwy. I as a fan want to see them all together. But you know, I've heard these songs thousands of times and that's okay....Although a couple of their albums, Magnification, The Ladder, Union, State of Play..(I forget the Title name of that album) also Open Your Eyes, I miss not hearing them preform live. All Great Music!
Nice, but at the age these guys are getting to(especially after losing Chris Squire), it'd be nice if they could put differences aside and get back on stage together. After all, this happened years ago! Then they put 8 on stage...but couldn't put a decent album together for that Union Tour.
I wasn't suggesting they get Chris Squire. Obviously that would impossible.I was simply expressing my appreciation of Chris Squire and regret for his passing. If I said something like, "The United States has been going down the wrong path without Dwight Eisenhower as president," would you interpret that to mean I was suggesting Eisenhower be reinstated as president?
Well first of all, not sure why you felt the need to be appointed this discussions "Captain Obvious" OF COURSE it doesn't sound right without Chris, his vocals were a HUGE part of YES.
I didn't start a discussion; you did by replying very negatively to a comment that you apparently agree with. I felt the need to point out the obvious in response because you responded in a way that made it seem as though you had misinterpreted me. Now that I see you did not, I suggest you stop responding to UA-cam comments while on meth.
My Lord, Jon is 71 and still has the pipes!! Much better than the current Yes lineup, which is nothing more than a very bad coverband sadly....cmon Steve, leave that band and come back home and play side by side with Trevor!!
I guess since this is the 17,000 th time they're playing I've seen all bad peepholes, ill use that for bathroom break when I see them next week. It is a disappointing setlist
Jon has still got that awesome voice.
You are right. There's no one like Jon.
My brother's wife backed out on him, so I went with. I was more into bands like Replacements or REM than Yes. He filled me in on the history of Yes on the way to the ARW concert. Then I see this guy get on stage with no instrument and I'm like WTF is he. Then. Holy. Shit. I'm the number 100 thumbs up. And this is YES.
I first heard YES play this on a 45 RPM, March, 1971. This song started it all, for me! I am glad that ANDERSON, RABIN, & WAKEMAN, have included it in their first tour, ever.
MY GOD! THE SPIRIT OF YES HAS RETURNED!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you very much for this terrific footage!
He vuelto a querer aun mas a Yes,concuerdo contigo !
Going to see these guys here in Scotland a week on wednesday, can hardly wait!
Bee. Too. Tee. Full.
It warms my heart to see and hear this.
I've listened to YES music since 1971 and I still enjoy all the music in one form or another. I'm very pleased with this reincarnation of YES. The band looks so very happy to perform together! Plus they put twists on the songs which makes it even better :)
YES!, god i love jon anderson! and his voice, his voice is still so amazing! Thanks for this lovely clip, thanks so much.
Yes is Back Finally
YESSSSSSSSSS!!!
Jon & Rick = magic
I love these guys!!!
This was an AWESOME show ~ the energy was amazing!
Jon Anderson on center stage is way more than just a voice ... can't replace his energy
`This is Yes!!!!! Yes
Think this is proof that Yes isn't the members, it's the idea and songs like Jon says. What I like is that Wakeman plays the Kaye songs really well, and Kaye plays the Wakeman songs really well. I hope they like and respect each other.
THIS IS YES!!!!!!!! OMG I AM SO EXCITED TO SEE JON AND THE WIZARD OF THE KEYBOARDS TOGETHER!!!!
So good to hear Jon
YES is alive and kicking albeit under a different name. Sitting here with tears rolling down my face. This is not music, it is a life experience.
I was at the show. You are correct. Never thought I would see them together again. It was wonderful.
YAY!
Great to see the Yes spirit live on. TY
Listening to this and seeing these three in action definitely put a huge smile on my face 😊
Oh Yes! Huge thanks & grateful hugs from the UK. XXX
Beautiful!!!!!
Yes is not Yes without Jon Anderson.
I Totally Agree
very good video. Great sound. Thanx a lot!!!!!!!
The energy and power in which they are playing this is infinitely better then the latest incarnation of YES. Jon Anderson is the soul and dynamic presence of YES!

This makes me SO happy! Thank you for the footage!!!
I'll be seeing them 8 days from today. Got a seat on the 3rd row....can't wait!
I hope this lineup continues to tour. They are the TRUE essence of Yes.
Nice to see Jon looking fit and it all sounds brilliant!
Wow YES is back
I am so excited to see ARW on Oct 14th. As someone mentioned.......this IS Yes ..... not the tribute band that happens to be called Yes
Can't wait to see them in The Netherlands. Finally get to see legends.
THANX soooo much for sharing, greets from Brazil!
Thanks for posting...they've still got it! Awesome...!
Jon was in great voice!!! BRAVO JON!!!!!!!!
So well-recorded, and you even edited these clips to fade in and out. Great work. Thank you! By the way, this band can co-exist happily with Yes. Rainbow and Deep Purple spring to mind.
GreenerHill interesting analogy and all my favourite bands. Well said!!!

YES...!!!
The best Prog Rock band - bar none
This is Yes!
I was at this show. But I was up in the nosebleed seats. lol The area where this was filmed was an $800.00 seat. A great show nonetheless.
The Yes gravy train continues............... GREAT!!!!!!!!!!
Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman are living gods
Sounds so much better than the "Yes" getting around these days. Alan White sounds so tired.. The drummer here gives it so much more energy.
I always thought Jon Davison was a really anemic and breathy sounding vocalist too, dunno what Howe was thinking. Anderson is much more powerful.
i wish that the classic yes would come back together again
Its time to make an UNION part 2 with Steve Howe then the only Original members of Yes came back as one great band! Jon, Rick, Steve, and the others.... Long Live live YES the best prog act ever!
i agree, i actually prefer rabin, but howe is good in his own right, thats just my silly opinion though
I believe it would be awesome to have, Jay and Alan, Steve, Trevors, Billy, Both Jon’s, and Rick. Just Rick.
Não vem para o Brasil?
going to see them next friday - i saw a zoom and push in this video were you allowed a "real" camera in or was this phone and post production?
bill buford is all we need
Agreed. Of course, you can't have Yes without Chris Squire. He's not currently available. But you know, that Billy Sherwood does a pretty fine job. I still prefer Howe to Rabin.... and Wakeman was never really my favorite Yes keyboard player... hmmm. Good thing those other guys are still around.
matt love my favorite yes keyboard player is the one who played on the relayer album

jeez, he named those
This is more YES than “YES” is these days.
We all needed a good shot of Yes in our veins, ths for Mr Anderson to make it all happen......and Rabin is doing a great job and the rest of the band too
Nice! Is it me or does Trevor Rabin look like the late great Chris Squire?
Good stuff . . .
Trevor hasn't lost a step! DAMN!
Dang, Jon. I was available. No calls? ;-)
I think the wisest thing that this outfit YES has done was to produce each studio record with their replacement lead vocal singers the ones who have replaced Jon Anderson with 'Heaven And Earth' and 'Fly From Here' they're both fantastic! i listen to Magnification Live every day. What an ear-mending tour that was. Never forget TALK! [state of play]
Hope they tour Canada, eh?!
Any chance you'll be loading Starship Trooper or Owner of a Lonely Heart?
You forgot the s in Anderson in the title :)
The life of a Yes fan can be compared to that of a child being asked to choose between feuding parents.
Well said - but there is simply NO Yes without Jon! (God bless, Chris)
Jon ????......Yes !!!!
YES IS JON ANDERSON! And it's.Better With Incredible WAKEMAN and RABIN it would be missing only BRUFFORD! The others Yes are only Cheaps Copies!
Is this a half step down , my e flat guitar plays like normal
balm for the soul
These guys sound 1000x better than "Yes"!
omg Rabin looks like Pat Boone now
omg No he doesn't. he's still sexy at 62 & youthful looking. these old guys are still rockin'...
Hahahahahahahaahaha
Good job, but it's Anderson, not Anderon !
Much better than Yes. Jon is in good form and the band sounds incredible tight and sharp, unlike Howe`s Yes nowadays.
How hard is to fill Steve Howe shoes, properly.
No That Hard Because Rabin Fills Them Great
No, that´s not true in my opinion.
It seems that Anderson is singing in playback... ?!?!
I don't think so, there are three other people doing vocals as well. Maybe he is I don't know.
He's not :)
No wonder Jon is straining his voice he’s always looking straight at the sky, he needs to sing down
Nice, but at the age these guys are getting to(especially after losing Chris Squire), it'd be nice if they could put differences aside and get back on stage together. After all, this happened years ago! Then they put 8 on stage...but couldn't put a decent album together for that Union Tour.
Having cancer surgery in 2 days. I have seen Yes and Jon many times. Hes better
Which one motherf ... gave "unlike"?
exxxtra
Doesn't sound right without Chris Squire singing back up.
Yeah - uh what are we going to DO about that, huh? Geez what a dumb ass.

Joel Frankford Oh so now I'm on meth? Why?, ...because I didn't like your Debbie downer complaint on this great band doing the best they can?
My Lord, Jon is 71 and still has the pipes!! Much better than the current Yes lineup, which is nothing more than a very bad coverband sadly....cmon Steve, leave that band and come back home and play side by side with Trevor!!
Richard Petersen nah lets keep this as it is please!!
I guess since this is the 17,000 th time they're playing I've seen all bad peepholes, ill use that for bathroom break when I see them next week. It is a disappointing setlist
Yes is not Yes with Rabin
Anderson looks like Keith Lemon with that thing on his hand...
