My family is learning to grow micro greens from you, in hopes of generating an income and business from them. My 11 year old son, Dylan, watches all your videos and is growing/testing his first tray of corn micro greens, his dream is to be a farmer! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! We love the support group also. 🌱💚
I take my trays after they are harvested and put them on the dirt floor of my greenhouse. I've got peas, wheat grass, shiso, kale, broccoli, dunflowers all growing in there. Anything new I plan for the outside gardens gets planted in the trays for 100% guaranteed success.
I started my microgreens journey as some others have with your videos. In my eyes you are the godfather of microgreens. My humble thanks for all the knowledge. I hope my little farm grows and I bring healthy food to south Texas!
Thanks for the knowledge ..I must say you are amazing and the Video is also very much clear and interesting to watch... Just advise me Growing Radish , mustard and Beet with Soaking process , Which colour LEd light , What nutrients I need to use and lastly how many hours I need to do bottom watering in a day..I will be very grateful for your advise. Thanks
Start experimenting so you can learn! The smaller seeds do not get soaked. You can find links to all the seeds, supplies and equipment I use in the descriptions of my UA-cam videos!
Yet another great video Donny! I watched a video from On The Grow and they did a test where they didn't soak their sunflower seeds and the results were very impressive.
Saw your interview on how you got started growing microgreens, I’m absolutely amazed. I literally have a green thumb and can grow ANYTHiNG...I grew wheatgrass, corn stalks etc.etc my point I’m ready to get started growing microgreens, can you please let me know where to go to get a starter kit what includes the seeds abs shelves. Thank you and again great work!
Could you please do a video explaining what soil and the ingredients in the soil your using? I know this is important and would like help on this. Loving your videos. Cheers Kathleen (Australia) ✌
Hi..am a big fan of yours.. am Ajay from India, precisely Kerala. GOD'S OWN COUNTRY. Am growing and selling Microgreens here commercially. Lot of things which don't work here, as the soaking method. Because I tried sunflower for 4 hours soak, it took time to germinate. But when I soaked over 24 hrs the germination was quick. May be depends on the climatic conditions and ofcourse with the quality of seeds. How about beets? Do we need to soak them? Also can you please do a video on how the Microgreens affects the change in climatic conditions and from different locations around the globe. Thank you in advance
Always prefer Seeds that don't need Soaked, but there are seeds like Broccoli that don't need soaked, yet I get a better Yield, if I do soak them for 8 hours first.
I prefer to grow varieties that don't require presoaking...because I'm forgetful and have left my seeds to soak too long before. Ruined nearly a whole tray of Sunflower because I oversoaked and there were a ton of brown leaves!! That said, I DO like sowing peas because they're so large and harvest time is super easy. If I had a better system for soaking, I suppose I wouldn't mind it so much...and the Sunflower are one of the best sellers.
Hi Donny, just came across your channel. I may have missed a video on this as I haven't seen all your vids yet. What are your thoughts on flavor on inert media and watered fertilizer and grown in soil. Also do you supplement your soil with fert when you water? Thanks keep up the good work :)
Thanks. I get the why, but am told Bulls Blood beets do not need to be soaked & need no weight. They have been planted for 4 days now and nothing is happening....

Do you prefer growing microgreens varieties that get presoaked or ones that don''t need it?
I like the ones that don't need it. Easier and simpler process.
@@DonnyGreens I agree!! I only soak peas.

We had a lot of mold problems with peas if we soaked them. We just cover with soil and then they all just germinate fine. Same for narsutstiums!
nice!!!
FIRST COMMENT! lol thanks man love your content as always!
Haha much love!! Congrats on first comment 😆
Probably a silly question but have you to buy special seeds ? Or take seeds from organic produce from stores ?
I dont know why you dont have a million subs, but you have one more now.
Fuggin love you 🌱💚
How many lights per shelf are you using for the trays behind you ? I have T-8’s FYI
What about radish microgreens
I'm gonna try beets one more time. I'll soak them with some peroxide to soften them up. If it doesn't work I'm quitting. Beets that is.

I dont supplement, the energy and nutrients come form the seeds

Why do you need a timer for your lights? I don't get it.
Can you please do a video on how you obtained the email addresses to start and eventually grow your delivery svc?
farmers markets
I like growing one people want to buy LOL
Yes, always grow what the people want!
what kind of soil do you use?
Promix MP Organik. What are you using?
@@DonnyGreens Just purchased Promix HP but promix is very pricy around me
#wader lol
Hahahaha stooppppp!!!! I swear I don't say it weird what the hell hahaha
Hi Donny will you make microgreen project on fenugreek plants for me. If it success I can earn 100to1000$ per day here in India.
I don't grow fenugreek, but i'm sure they aren't too difficult... Have you tried growing them?
@@DonnyGreens thank you hope you'll try..
