The garlic scapes I just bend down and they snap right off.. u less they are not ready.. then just wait another week and try to snap it off again. But cutting of course works fine too
Next time you dig leeks, you should put a fork or spade in the ground next to them and wiggle it to loosen. And to pick scapes, you pinch the bottom of it until it pops and THEN pull it straight up
For the beets that feel a little soft, you can try filling your sink with some cold water and soaking the beet (or any other slightly soft/withered veg). A lot of times they will perk back up and become very edible!!
Loved the reactions to finding the potatoes! Root crops are like Christmas. You wait forever and you don't know what you'll yield until you dig! Wonderful bounty you garden is providing. Just had a big stir-fry from ours. Keep growing!
Looks amazing! I also got my first ever cauliflower this year 🎉 I'm in Maryland and agree that the cooler spring was definitely a plus for the cauliflower 😊
Leek moth 😞 they are very annoying… kinda the squash vine borer equivalent for alliums. I’m growing my garlic under row cover for this reason. Paranoid, maybe.. but I had this last year and didn’t want to risk my first time with garlic!
Very nice harvest! The cauliflower looks amazing, glad you found what works for you. I'm so excited for my summer crops. I love when you end with your chickens. 🐓 Thanks for sharing!
Lovely vlog:)
Thanks for upload

Is the black weed mat just for weed prevention or to warm up the soil as well.
for weed prevention, but it does also heat up the soil
Hello from NJ, what zone are you in?
Those potatoes look AMAZING!!! :) no wonder Aaron didn't want to stop picking them 😂
😂😂
Nice harvest and what you guys do with all those beets
we either roast or juice them
Does the yellow zucchini taste the same as the green?
yes
Man you guys are making me so jealous that I didn't grow beets this year! Maybe I'll slap some in the ground when my peas come out...
still plenty of time for beets 🙂 i’ll probably sow another round in a few weeks so we get a fall harvest too!
What state are you in ??
How did you stop the broccoli from getting eaten by caterpillars ?
I cover our brassica plants with netting when possible to keep the butterflies off so they can't lay eggs.
Great harvest! I wanted to ask if you have been seeing a lot of the spotted lantern fly in your area?
we haven’t, thankfully!
❤

ugh! i’ve only ever seen them on our leeks, but i’ll have to consider that in the future for the other alliums 😕
У Вас чудовий урожай 🎉😊
Привіт з України 🇺🇦

If you plant carrots with your leeks you won’t get the fly larva.
