I love, love, love my kale smoothies! When I pick my kale I put it in a sink full of cold water and add salt and swish the kale around. The salt causes the worms to die and sink to the bottom of the sink. I pull the kale and wash out the sink, then rinse it again in a clean sink full of fresh water.
There is little more beautiful or satisfying than seeing a harvest laid out before you. The fresh rain will encourage more growth for more harvesting. 😊 What a productive day! Looking forward to seeing what you do with it all. Thank you for sharing with us. 💜
I just love how beautiful your keyhole garden is. Tall spikey flowers are my fave.your veg garden is doing really well too. Thank you for a great video. Take care 🌷🇨🇦
Way to persevere through the rain 😊 Love the small harvests before the big ones hit and need attention asap. I react the same to any new bloom or flower 😅
Put purple yam ( ube) or purple potatoes in your soup with a little red cabbage and purple carrots with those beautiful purple kale..You will have a perfect purple soup!!!
Nothing too ground shaking, and it’s my first time trying so I can’t speak to how well it works but I’ll keep you posted. I just filmed all the preserving and that video goes up Friday ☺️❤️
Oh....the joy and satisfaction on your face as you showed the compilation of your harvest at the end of the video!!! Thank you for sharing your blessings, which in turn becomes a blessing for all who view you. Proves to be an inspiration for me. Our bulk harvests have yet to start, though harvesting of some veggies, herbs and flower heads have begun. I have yet to grow celery, but after seeing yours, I will give it a try in 2024. Merlot lettuce was a newbie for me this year, as a pack of seed was gifted to me from ordering through Baker's Creek. It has earned a spot in my gardens going forth. I look forward to future videos showing how you preserve the harvests. Thank you Kelsey. Blessings to you and yours,
Your garden is so beautiful. I’m zone five b so I can’t really harvest much except for herbs and rhubarb. The garlic will be ready in a couple of weeks and the scapes gave me some lovely pesto for the freezer. Love the potato harvest! Such fun. Have a productive week, pretty girl. ☮️💕
@@SandraMalone-pq4mn I know, right? I made some rhubarb bbq sauce yesterday and today I am going to dehydrate some mint, oregano and thyme. I’m lucky because it grows wild on my property ❤️
People grow carrots and do all kinds of stuff to get them to come up. I just keep em moist with water. They tear up jack. I got so many this year I can't eat them all. But I'm 4 veggie guy, Tomatoes, cukes, carrots and beans. Very nice garden.
Just beautiful... living my life thr ur garden this year.. im not able to have a garden this year, we've have many family emergencies. And thats where my time needs to be this year.. So living thr yours.. ❤
I love the video and your cottage garden! All is beautiful. Please tell us how you will store all the produce until you can get to the preserving tomorrow or the next few days. I never know what is best.
Thank you! I stuff as much as possible into my fridge, usually the most perishable. Everything else either soaks in cold water in the sink(like celery or kale) and some just have to sit on the counter until I can get to them(carrots, beets, garlic) I did throw some stuff right into the freeze dryer too! Same could be done with a dehydrator.
