I wouldn’t be surprised if all the guest characters were playable in this chapter.
UPDATE: Sadly, NONE of the DLC characters are playable in this chapter.
I love how randomized these fights were, so it's worth playing them again. When I played as Smoke I got the female Ermac and the Scorpion-Kung Lao hybrid, but I also got a Sindel-Reptile hybrid, a Shao-Sub-Zero hybrid, Cyber Smoke, and another Scorpion-Kung Lao hybrid that was more Kung Lao.
Including a Kano-Sonya Blade hybrid.

This scene is amazing, but it feels like a moment that should have been built up more. Maybe with one or two more games. Maybe this game should have focused on Shang Tsung’s plans, revealing Titan Shang Tsung in the end. The second would focus on Titan Shang Tsung’s timeline and in the end it would reveal their were many other timelines. Then finally the third would focus on Liu Kang recruiting allies from other timelines ending with this final battle.
That would most likely take until 2030
I liked this ending with Kung Lao, it makes sense seeing as it completes his story arc for this game at least for now.
I finished watching all the story mode on UA-cam last night. The ending was abrupt. Idc I love abrupt endings. This will definitely be the first game I get once i get a ps5. 🔥🔥🔥

I just think it's hilarious how they killed off the new gen from MK 10 in Kitana's 1v4 with them
it becomes funnier when you consider how despised are by the fandom, although Takeda is the best of them

It would break the progression of storyline. Beside the story mode was finished before any DLC characters are created. NRS could make another standalone of MK1 game where All characters now fitted inside the story, make some few changes in the story cut scenes

Just did this a while ago cool that you can pick who you want to finish the story with gives you a reason to go back and play multiple times only using certain characters at least for now I know they said don't expect the dlc until spring 2024
Could you imagine if we saw guest characters from previous games around for this fight? Like imagine Kratos, Rambo, and the Xenomorph charging on those stairs 😭

Titan Havik's design looks a lot more appropriate. Though I'd still prefer the Red and Black to the Green.

Good story, but the final boss is kinda underwhelming Kronika gave me a harder time in mk11.
I beat Shang in my first try lol then again, I'm a casual fighting game player so I don't mind easy fights. Shao Kahn from MK9 is pretty much the hardest boss in the NRS games.
I always love how liu kang vs 2 sorcerers he always the best fighter

There was like so many Shang Tsung on Liu Kang's side.
While Dark Shang Tsung also many Dark Liu Kang but there's no counterpart of him.

This is like a huge joke of a chapter. We have all these fusions of random characters brought together from across the multiverse for what’s supposed to be like a final battle. But nope! It’s only the beginning.
